Shahid Afridi’s all-round show guided Dhaka Dynamites (DD) to the final of the BPL 2017-18. DD beat Comilla Victorians (CV) by 95 runs at Shere Bangla Stadium, Mirpur, Dhaka. Electing to bat, DD piled up 191 for 7. Evin Lewis blazed to a 32-ball 47 to give DD an apt start. Joe Denly scored a steady 32, and he received good support from Kieron Pollard who slammed an 18-ball 31. Afridi smacked four sixes in the death overs to help the side finish well. Afridi fell in the 19th over to fellow Pakistani Hasan Ali for a 19-ball 30. Live Updates of the Qualifier 1

Hasan impressed with figures of 4-0-16-3. Shoaib Malik too was economical, giving away 28 from his four overs and claiming the wicket of Lewis. CV conceded 21 extras. However, their batting further let them down.

Tamim Iqbal received no support at the top. DD attacked with spin on a slow surface. Mosaddek Hossain, Shakib Al Hasan, Sunil Narine and Afridi combined to bowl out CV for 96. Afridi starred with 3 for 16.

DD, already 3-time champions, will play the final on December 12. If CV beat Rangpur Riders (RR) in the second qualifier, these two sides will meet again in the finale.
