Many fans and former players have reacted to the retirement of Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq and Shahid Afridi following a heart-breaking six-wicket loss at the hands of Australia at Adelaide in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, Quarter-Final 3 at Adelaide. The duo had announced their retirement prior to the World Cup and they will be disappointed that their stay at the World Cup was cut short after they crashed out of the tournament and therefore their dream of winning the mega event has ended. Shahid Afridi has played 398 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) scoring 8064 at an average of 24 and also has 395 scalps to his credit. He once held the record of scoring the fastest century in ODIs, which he achieved in 1996 against Sri Lanka. Misbah has played 162 ODIs and has scored 5122 runs at an average of 43. The only regret Misbah must be having is not scored an ODI century. His highest score is 96 not out.
