A brilliant unbeaten 82 from Shikhar Dhawan and a quickfire cameo from Yuvraj Singh guided Sunrisers Hyderabad to 177-3 in their 20 overs against Mumbai Indians at Visakhapatnam. Given a wonderful start by David Warner, who scored an aggressive 48, SRH were stalled in the middle overs due to some good bowling. But a late flurry from Dhawan and Yuvraj meant SRH reached a very good score. For MI, Harbhajan Singh was the star, scalping 2 wickets for 29 in his 4 overs. The usual suspects, Jasprit Bumrah, Mitchell McClenaghan and Tim Southee struggled to have a big impact, meaning MI need 178 to move above their opponents. LIVE SCORECARD: Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, IPL 2016, Match 37 at Vishakapatnam

Earlier, having lost the toss, SRH were put into bat by Rohit Sharma. Controlled aggressive batting from skipper David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan meant MI were in back foot from the start. Warner especially showed his intent from the start, scoring a boundary of the very first ball. He did not let any bowler settle into stride. At the end of the powerplay, SRH were 51-0, with Warner scoring 37 of them. The next few overs also went the same way, with both the batsman picking on the loose deliveries.Dhawan also improved his strike rate, and Warner was taking on Harbhajan.

But the penultimate ball of the 10th over brought some joy for MI, as Warner was caught by Pollard of Bhajji’s bowling for 48. Next to follow in was Kane Williamson, but his stay was short lived as Bhajji got his second scalp for the day. With score at 91-2, Yuvraj Singh walked to the crease. The scoring rate was drastically slowed after the dismissals, with both Yuvraj and Dhawan finding it a bit tough. Considering the great start Warner gave, SRH would have been disappointed to be 102-2 after 14 overs.

The final 5 overs saw some brilliant hitting from both Yuvraj and Dhawan. After reaching his half-century, Dhawan broke loose, taking the death over specialist Bumrah for runs. Yuvraj also played his shots with confidence, after some nervy moments early on. The pair managed to get 61 runs in that period, taking apart all the bowlers. Despite Yuvraj getting hit-wicket in the last over, the damage was done, as SRH ended up scoring 177-3 in their 20 overs.
