Shreyas Iyer wins ICC Men’s player of the Month for March after Shubman Gill’s February recognition

India star batter Shreyas Iyer won the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award for March after playing a stellar role in India’s Champions Trophy triumph, which was held in Pakistan and Dubai. Iyer emerged as the leading run-scorer for India with 243 runs. He surpassed competitors like Jacob Duffy and Rachin Ravindra from New Zealand, according to a report by the ICC.

Iyer receiving the award marked the second consecutive win for India, following Shubman Gill’s recognition in February.

Shreyas Iyer played a key role in India’s 2025 Champions Trophy victory as he served impotant function in the middle order. His remarkable form guided India through the middle overs, and his ability to anchor the innings while building key partnerships played a vital role in the team’s successful campaign.

The 30-year-old smashed 172 runs during the three matches played in March, on an average of 57.33 and strike rate of 77.47, which included some brilliant knocks. Shreyas was just 20 runs behind Rachin Ravindra, who was the highest run scorer.
