Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly, on Saturday, clarified his comment made on his former Indian teammate Virender Sehwag. It was earlier reported by PTI that Ganguly had made a comment on Sehwag’s comment over his non-appointment as the Indian coach; he had said that he did not have proper setting with the BCCI. Ganguly commented on the issue by saying that it was a foolish comment from Sehwag, as reported by PTI. However, Ganguly later went on to Twitter to clarify the issue, saying, “My quote on Sehwag completely false ..right quote ..Sehwag very dear to me .will speak to him soon ..” Sourav Ganguly calls Virender Sehwag’s ‘setting’ comment ‘foolish’

Sehwag had earlier said that he was misled by a section in the BCCI, which robbed him of the head coach’s spot. Nevertheless, Ganguly decided not to speak on the issue further owing to his good relation with Sehwag. Ganguly was a part of the CoA (Committee of Administrators) that chose Ravi Shastri as India’s head coach. Sehwag has stuck to the no holds barred policy when it comes to speaking or commentary. Though he has earned fans, he has also irked many for his series of jokes. Sehwag’s comments truly make little sense as he has excellent relations with his former captain Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar as well as VVS Laxman. All three stalwarts were a part of the CoA that picked India’s head coach.
