South Africa have tightened their screws over Sri Lanka in the second Test, and will push for a series win on Day Three. Resuming the day at 297 for 6, Proteas looked to get close to the 400-run mark. They were well led by Quinton de Kock’s belligerent hundred. He departed soon after registering his 3rd ton, but the lower-order hung around to take their side to a healthy total. Sri Lanka came out to bat and looked a much improved side for a brief period. They were 56 for 1 at one stage but succumbed to 110 all-out due to reckless batting display. Their most experienced duo, in form of skipper Angelo Mathews and Dinesh Chandimal, could not do much as the likes of Upal Tharanga, Kusal Mendis, Kaushal Silva and Dimuth Karunaratne failed to maintain their starts.
