Sports Journalists’ Federation condoles death of veteran Raghunath Rau
Sports Journalists' Federation of India (SJFI) condoled the death of veteran sports journalist, Raghunath Rau, who passed away in New Delhi today. Coming from a family of journalists in Lucknow, Rau was an affable person and was loved by fellow colleagues.

Sports Journalists’ Federation of India (SJFI) condoled the death of veteran sports journalist, Raghunath Rau, who passed away in New Delhi today.
Coming from a family of journalists in Lucknow, Rau was an affable person and was loved by fellow colleagues.
In a statement, SJFI president S Sabanayakan said Rau’s death was a great loss to the fraternity.
“He was known for his incisive cricket reports and was respected for his analytical writing. His death is a great loss to the profession,” Sabanayakan said.
Respected cricket writer Rau passed away at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital today following prolonged illness. He was 67.
He is survived by wife and daughter.
Rau started his career with The Times of India and worked with The Statesman in New Delhi before joining Sunday Mail.
