It’s been two weeks since Kolkata Knight Riders last won an IPL match. They had beaten Rajasthan Royals for a thumping eight-wicket win in Jaipur. Since then, they have twice faced Chennai Super Kings and once each Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Each time they have suffered a defeat.
From once fighting for the top spot, they have slipped to sixth in points table and need to resurrect their campaign quickly with the tournament entering its business end.
They face Sunrisers Hyderabad today in first game of Sunday’s double-header. The Orange Army are coming off an emphatic win having halted table-toppers CSK’s winning streak after defeating MS Dhoni and Co. by six wickets to secure victory after three losses on the trot.
