The final session of Day Four of the second Test at Colombo was abandoned due to rain. Sri Lanka had bowled Pakistan out for 329 in their second innings, setting the hosts a target of 153 to win the match and level the series at 1-1. Azhar Ali had top scored for Pakistan with 117 and Dhammika Prasad was the pick of the Sri Lanka bowlers with four wickets to his name. FULL UPDATES: Sri Lanka vs Pakistan, 2nd Test Day 4 at Colombo

Pakistan will be very disappointed with their performance as they lost six wickets in the post-lunch session, including last five wickets with just 28 runs. Pakistan had won the first Test at Galle against all odds and they could not carry their momentum onto this game. Sri Lanka Angelo Mathews will be happy considering the way his team have bounced back after a demoralising defeat in the previous Test. Pakistan got off to a bad start after winning the toss and electing to bat first. They were bundled out for 138 in their first innings. In reply, Sri Lanka made 315, taking a lead of 177 runs in the process. Yasir Shah was Pakistan’s star bowler with six wickets to his name. They now have three sessions in which they have to knock the required runs off. Wahab Riaz will most definitely not bowl for Pakistan as he sustained a hairline fracture after he was hit on his arm while batting in the first innings.

Brief scores:

Pakistan 138 (Mohammad Hafeez 42, Azhar Ali 26; Dhammika Prasad 3 for 43, Tharindu Kaushal 5 for 42) & 329 (Ahmed Shehzad 69, Azhar Ali 117, Younis Khan 40;  Dhammika Prasad 4 for 84, Dushmantha Chameera 3 for 53) lead Sri Lanka 315 (Kaushal Silva 80, Kumar Sangakkara 34, Angelo Mathews 77; Yasir Shah 6 for 96) 152 runs.
