Sri Lanka will face West Indies in the first Twenty20 International (T20I) of the two-match series at Pallekele on Monday. The momentum is with Sri Lanka at the moment as they have claimed both the Tests and One-Day International (ODI) series convincingly. Misery continues to haunt West Indies as they have not managed a single win in the five clashes so far. They will hope to seek a revival of fortunes and achieve some glory in the T20 series. West Indies have a strong side for the shortest format of the game but they need to put up some performances in order to taste success. Sri Lanka on te other hand will be hoping to add more anguish on the losing and hapless West Indian side. LIVE SCORECARD: Sri Lanka vs West Indies, 1st T20 at Pallekele
Sri Lanka have included Thisara Perera whose all-rounder abilities might come handy. They have a well polished team and one should remember that they are the reigning champions of this format. They have done pretty well so far and didn’t cut anything loose.
For West Indies, they will now enjoy the services of Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard and Darren Sammy and the trio will have a huge role play in the team. If couple of them clicks the the hosts will have a tough time here at Pallekele.
