Steven Smith brought up his maiden Test double ton on second day of the second Test between England and Australia at Lord’s, London. He had a score of 199 before and will be relieved to have finally got to the landmark of getting to a Test double ton. He and Chris Rogers shared a 284-run stand after losing David Warner early to put Australia on top of England. Earlier in the day, England picked up a couple of wickets in the first session. Australia were 337 for one at end of play on the first day but Chris Rogers departed for a score of 173 when he inside edged a full ball from Stuart Broad. Mark Wood then continued his impressive work when he snared Michael Clarke caught at square leg by Gary Ballance.
