Vidarbha were in a trouble, chasing 122, after they were reduced to 67/5, with Manish Sharma scalping two wickets. Opting to bat, Gujarat did enjoy a steady start with Priyank Panchal scoring 38 off 30 balls. But captain and wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel, Dhruv Raval and Piyush Tanwar did not contribute much with the bat. Vidarbha almost made a mess of a modest chase as their half-side – Atharva Taide (8), Jitesh Sharma (17), Shalabh Shrivastava (1), Ganesh Satish (3) and Ravi Jangid (10) – was back in the dug-out.
