A brilliant batting display, led from the front by Mithali Raj’s 42, saw them post 163 runs batting first. In their next match, India were unlucky to end up on the losing side, as Pakistan won the fixture by 2 runs under Duckworth-Lewis method. Their hosts campaign derailed drastically, as they ended up losing to England in their third match, after scoring a mere 90/8 while batting first.
