Mumbai Indians (MI) have missed the service of their star pacer Jasprit Bumrah in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 so far. Bumrah was injured during the Sydney Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, but has now joined the MI’s camp. The Mumbai-based franchise announced the comeback of their superstar with a special video, where his wife Sanjana Ganesan indirectly announced Bumrah’s comeback in the form of a bedtime story.
“Angad, let me tell you a story. In 2013, there was a cub who entered this jungle. A jungle full of runs, sixers and boundaries. Where everyone was scared, he showed courage. Over the years, he fought many battles. He fought for survival, for his pride. He won. He lost, but never gave up! These battles left him with scars. But these scars didn’t stop him. Once a cub, now the lion. The lion is back! He is back to be the king of this jungle again,” Sanjana said in the video.
It was earlier reported that Bumrah is soon to join Mumbai Indians’ camp soon. After he got clearance from the Centre of Excellence (formerly known as National Cricket Academy), Bumrah had to go through two match simulations.
