Tom Maynard, son of former England player Matthew Maynard was electrocuted and hit by a train the Westminster Coroner’s Court was told by British Transport Police during a hearing.

 

According to report in walesonline.co.uk, the 23-year-old was hit on District Line tracks in Wimbledon Park just after 5am on Monday.

 

The Cardiff-born had been driving ‘erratically’ down a nearby road before being stopped by police. He fled on foot and a 45 minute footchase followed following which he was electrocuted and then struck by a District Line train.
