Mushfiqur Rahim scored a fighting 99 to guide Bangladesh into the Asia Cup final with a convincing 37-run win over Pakistan in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.

Bangladesh put up a clinical performance in the final Super 4 game of the 2018 Asia Cup, where they beat Pakistan by 37 runs to book themselves a place in the final.

Reduced to 12 for 3, Mushfiqur Rahim‘s valuable 99, along with a crucial contribution from Mohammad Mithun, formed the spine of Bangladesh’s 239, after which the bowlers performed splendidly – especially Mustafizur Rahman (4/43) – to strangle the Pakistan innings and keep them to 202 for 9.

Imam-Ul-Haq tried hard with a resilient 83, but once he perished, it shut the door on Pakistan’s chances.
