English bowler Ryan Sidebottom is widely reckoned as an English County giant for the plethora of records he has to his name. He has also done a good job for England in his sporadic appearances. Sidebottom recently named his All-Time XI in a video posted by Lord’s Ground from their official YouTube channel. As always, the selection was based on the fact that the player should have played with or against the cricketer or influenced him. ALSO SEE: No Tendulkar, Kohli in Eoin Morgan’s All-Time XI; Dhoni, Kumble find place

English Test skipper Alastair Cook and former New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming find place as openers in his side with the latter being the captain. Australian legend Darren Lehmann will come at three followed by Joe Root at four. David Hussey grabs the fifth position in the middle-order while Mark Ealham snatches the sixth position as an all-rounder. Another English man Chris Read makes it to the side and will render his services as the wicket-keeper batsman. SEE MORE: Sachin Tendulkar, Chris Gayle chosen as openers in Brendon McCullum’s All-Time XI

The bowling department comprises of Darren Gough, Steve Harmison and Andre Adams, which inspires confidence. The pace attack wears a good look and the only spinner to make it to the side is Graeme Swann. Surprisingly, not a single Indian cricketer has been mentioned in Sidebottom’s All Time XI.

Ryan Sidebottom’s All Time XI: Alastair Cook, Stephen Fleming (C), Darren Lehmann, Joe Root, David Hussey, Mark Ealham, Chris Read (wk), Graeme Swann, Darren Gough, Steve Harmison, Andre Adams.
