The 11th game of the Indian Premier League between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils witnessed a dramatic effort when Shane Watson and David Wiese combined beautifully to pull off a stunning catch. RCB were defending 192 in 20 overs when Shreyas Iyer and Quinton de Kock walked out to bat. Tim Southee and Karun Nair formed a partnership to pull off a spectacular catch.
Iyer was trying to break the shackles as he endured a few dot deliveries and in an attempt to do so he played a lofted shot Srinath Aravind but didn’t get the timing right. As the powerplay was in progress the fielders were inside the 30-yard circle as the ball was flying over Watson who was fielding at mid-on. Watson ran backwards and covered a reasonable ground to get to the ball and eventually caught it. As he was in motion his motion was guiding him towards the boundary an to avoid it he threw the ball towards Wiese who was following him. Wiese dived to grab the delivery and ensured he didn’t slide inside the boundary. the catch was clean and Iyer had to walk back. The game is still i progress with the match being evenly poised but this catch has certainly nominated itself for the best one of the tournament.
