Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers become first pair to secure 50-plus partnership for 5th time in IPL 2016

Gujarat Lions (GL) take in Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in on going Match 17 of IPL 2016. RCB won the toss and elected to bat first with an interesting change in opening pair with Virat Kohli and Shane Watson opening the inning with Shane Watson picked early with Ravindra Jadeja making no mistake at cover point with Watson misunderstanding an inside cutter as straight drive leading to the fielder. After smashing a boundary, Dhawal Kulkarni was relieved. But it was once again the duo AB de Villiers and skipper Virat Kohli taking the lead providing RCB 5-0-runs stand for 5th consecutive time in IPL 2016. When RCB and GL players were entering the field before the match began, Australia umpire Brunce Oxenford took the field wearing shield on his right hand to protect himself on the field. RCB have made two changes to their side, Mandeep Singh was injured so KL Rahul comes back to the team while Yuzvendra Chahal comes in for Harshal Patel along with Kedar Jadhav. Earlier, Rahul was rested and Kedar Jadhav was in for his place, due to Mandeep Singh’s injury, RCB made last minute changes. GL have made just a single change with Dwayne Smith in and Dale Steyn remaining out for this game.
