Australia’s legendary leg-spinner Shane Warne who has become a commentator and an expert ever since his retirement from international cricket, likes to voice his opinion about greats who have played the game. Warne who is part of the SkySports commentary team for the Pakistan vs England Test series along with Rameez Raja and Mike Atherton was asked to pick two World XI teams: One from the 90’s and the other from the current lot of players. The three experts, listed 12 players each for both the teams, as they reached a consensus, after their ‘selection meeting’. Warne though wrote on his Instagram post that, Hashim Amla and Kane Williamson were the two unlucky players as they missed out of the team. A few days back, Warne in a Facebook Live announced that Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara were the best batsmen he has ever bowled to. Warne has had excellent battles with both of them during his playing days. Warne also revealed that Pakistan leg-spinner Yasir Shah is the best leg-spinner he has ever worked with. Warne has often offered assistance to Yasir and Warne is seen on a lot of occasions giving tips to him. Warne also spoke about many non-cricketing topics. For example, Argentine footballer Lionel Messi is his personal favourite, while his son idolises Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo. He also mentions David Lloyd, who is referred to as Bumble is his favourite commentator to work with.
