VVS Laxman has returned to net sessions in a bid to get himself ready for the landmark Cricket All Stars League. Laxman was one of 26 players named in the roster for the Cricket All Stars League, the opening season of which will be played in the United States of America (USA). The idea for the league was conceptualised by Sachin Tendulkar and Shane Warne as a means to spread cricket to regions beyond its traditional boundaries. The seasons will be short and crisp, with the first season of the league to consist of a mere three matches. The players will also hold coaching clinics alongside the games in a bid to encourage young Americans to give cricket a try. The 26 players are yet to be distributed in two teams but most of them have already started training in full ernest. Shane Warne played a club match a couple of days ago where he blasted 40 and took four wickets. Other players have trained in the nets.
