New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra suffered a serious injury to his face while fielding during the Black Caps’ ODI clash against Pakistan held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Sunday.
The incident took place during the 38th over of Pakistan’s innings when batter Khushdil Shah played a slog sweep to spinner Michael Bracewell. Rachin, who was stationed at deep-square leg, ended up completely misjudging the ball and it hit him straight on the face.
Such serious was the blow that he even started bleeding before he was rushed off the ground. Presumably, an ice pack was placed over his head to stop the bleeding.
A tough moment on the field for Rachin Ravindra as an attempted catch turned into an unfortunate injury. 🤕
