India will begin their Champions Trophy campaign on February 20, with their first group-stage match against Bangladesh in Dubai. Expectations are going to be high as the Men in Blue will try to add another trophy to the collection, especially since important players like Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer are at their peak performance.
The Indian team has chosen not to participate in the warm-up matches before the Champions Trophy following their 3-0 series win against England in a three-match ODI series. Australia has decided to go with a similar strategy, whereas Pakistan have scheduled a series of warm-up matches.
The Indian team for the Champions Trophy will not include Jasprit Bumrah. Before the competition between the eight-teams begins, the pacer was not able to completely recover from his back issue.
India’s squad for Champions Trophy 2025:
Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill (Vice-captain), Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (WK), Rishabh Pant (WK), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana, Mohd. Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Ravindra Jadeja, Varun Chakaravarthy.
