Rohit Sharma, India’s ODI captain, showed just how popular he is when a recent video of him went viral on social media. The 38-year-old visited Worli in Mumbai to offer prayers to Lord Ganesha.

However, his car was quickly surrounded by hundreds of fans. When Rohit stepped out to greet them, the crowd erupted in loud cheers, with many chanting “Mumbaicha Raja” (King of Mumbai).

Rohit’s car was stuck as hundreds of fans gathered around, cheering and chanting his name. To acknowledge them, Rohit came out through the sunroof of his car and waved to the crowd.
