The India Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) had to be called off. Later, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) mentioned in their statement that the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala had to be cancelled due to a technical glitch.
Due to power failure in the area, one of the floodlight towers of the stadium stopped working. Pakistan is continuously attacking India, due to which many cities have been put on high alert. Dharamshala airport has also had to be closed. In such a situation, questions are being raised about the future of IPL 2025. Meanwhile, the BCCI held a meeting late on Thursday night regarding IPL 2025.
BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla said in a conversation with Times of India, “The safety of the players is of utmost importance, which was not possible to have a match in Dharamshala amid the India-Pakistan tension. We are arranging a special train to evacuate everyone from Dharamshala. The decision to continue the tournament will be taken on Friday.”
Meanwhile, IPL chairman Arun Dhumal said that we are watching the situation, we have not received any instructions from the government yet. Whatever instructions the government gives, we will follow them.
