The England and Wales Cricket Board have been informed by 28 organisations that they are keen to create teams for the upcoming Women’s Cricket Super League. The league will consist of six teams and shall get a funding of three million pounds from the English Cricket Board for the next four years. There shall be only T20 cricket in the first season and from 2017 it will have 50-over matches. By December the six team hosts will be announced. ECB Women’s Cricket Super League general manager Jo Kirk said: “The variety of the organisations involved and the extent of collaborative work outlined within the ‘expressions of interest’ received is really exciting.” READ: England Women ODI squad for Women’s Ashes 2015 announced
