Mirpur: Apr 2, 2014

In the lead up to the ICC World T20 2014 semi-final against South Africa, India had a scare as Yuvraj Singh hurt his left ankle. Due to the injury scare, Yuvraj took rest from practice on Wednesday.

Dr RN Baba, the media manager of the Indian team, confirmed in an email that Yuvraj had a blow on his left ankle, but is resting on Wednesday as a precaution.

The Indian team is training on Wednesday at the Narayanganj Osmani Stadium, in Fatullah, which is miles away from Mirpur where South Africa, West Indies and Sri Lanka scheduled their practice.

Yuvraj had a tough time earlier in the tournament, but roared back into form with an innings of 60 against Australia. India won that match by 73 runs.

India will face South Africa at Mirpur in the semi-final on Friday.
