Zaheer Khan completed his 100 wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL) history on Friday, during the match No. 52 between Delhi Daredevils (DD) and Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) clash. Zaheer brought up his milestone on the first ball of the second innings, cleaning up Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) opener Ajinkya Rahane with a peach of a delivery. The ball from Zaheer pitched in front of off- and middle-stump and moved into the batsman, finding the gap between the bat and pads. Zaheer’s delivery knocked down Rahane’s middle-stump, and helped the bowler to bring up his 100th IPL wicket. FULL CRICKET SCORECARD, DD vs RPS, Match 52

Zaheer is the second left-arm bowler to have completed 100 wickets in IPL, after Ashish Nehra. Zaheer is also the fourth Indian seamer to have reached the milestone after Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Nehra and Vinay Kumar. Earlier this season, Nehra had completed his 100 wickets; however, Zaheer became the oldest to reach the landmark. Among Indians, spinners Ravichandran Ashwin, Harbhajan Singh, Amit Mishra and Piyush Chawla have also claimed more than 100 wickets. Zaheer is also set to complete his 100 matches in the tournament history, which he will if he plays the next contest for the Daredevils.
