West Indies wicketkeeper-batsman Shane Dowrich on Thursday was included in the One-Day International (ODI) squad for the upcoming ODI tri-nation series to be played in Zimbabwe, along with Sri Lanka being the third side, from November 14, following his stellar form that led West Indies to a win against Pakistan on Thursday in the third and final Test, at the Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium on Thursday. Meanwhile, fast bowler Miguel Cummins was also included in the side, while veteran batsman Marlon Samuels was left out, following his nonacceptance of central contract by WICB, and also Alzarri Joseph, the young pacer. Dowrich has so far played eight Tests for West Indies, and is yet to make his debut in the ODIs and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Although he is not so effective behind the stumps, he was indeed comprehensive with the bat, playing a stellar innings 47 and 60 in the third Test vs Pakistan at Sharjah. He has also played 26 List A matches, where he has scored 344 runs along with a high score of 48, while he has 21 catches behind the stumps, including eight stumpings, reports espncricinfo.com.

Cummins, on the other handm has played just an ODI in February 2014 against Ireland, while he made his Test debut in 2016, where he has claimed 10 wickets from five matches. Also, he has just five List A matches under his name. Samuels had a tough time in UAE against Pakistan, as he just scored a half-century, while he struggled to get past 30 in the remaining matches. West Indies, meanwhile, have also dropped wicketkeeper-batsman Denesh Ramdin, along with all-rounder Kieron Pollard.
