Pushed back by a defeat in the first Test at Cardiff, Australia came back hard in the second Ashes Test at cricket’s home in Lord’s. They inflicted a 405-run defeat squaring the series 1-1 against arch-rivals England. The Aussies not only unsettled the Englishmen on the field, but also the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) members in the stands. The club founded in 1787 in London owns the Lord’s Cricket Ground.
