Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians (MI) owner Nita Ambani was visiting Shirdi, when a passionate fan unexpectedly asked her to re-appoint Rohit Sharma as the team’s captain.
Nita Ambani is the wife of Mukesh Ambani and both the pair own the franchise. She recently visited Shirdi Sai Baba temple. She prayed for the team’s success in IPL 2025, as MI is currently not performing well.

When she was leaving the temple, an enthusiastic fan requested her to make Rohit Sharma as the captain once again. Her lovely response was “as baba wishes.” This highlights the devotion of Ambani family.
Talking about Rohit Sharma, he has failed to make significant impact in IPL 2025 so far, as he has scored only 56 runs in five matches. This has resulted in Rohit averaging at 11.20.
Rohit has had good starts in most of the matches as he has hit boundaries consistently, but he has failed to convert his strong start to a big score. The most runs he has scored till now in this season is 18 runs.
MI’s performance in IPL 2025 has been disappointing so far. They have won only two of their six matches, and are currently seventh in the standings with just four points.
