Shubman Gill confirms Rishabh Pant’s injury is nothing major, Will be fine for Manchester Test!

Following the loss at the Lord's Test against England, Shubman Gill stated that Rishabh Pant's finger injury is nothing major and he might be available to play in the next match of the series.

After facing a loss at the third Test match of the five-match series, Indian captain Shubman Gill expressed his confidence on wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant being able to play in the fourth match of the series at Manchester since scans revealed no major injury to his finger.

Rishabh Pant had to move off the field during the second session of the opening day of the recently-concluded Test against England after suffering a blow to his left index finger.

Rishabh went for scans. There is no major injury so he should be fine for fourth Test in Manchester,” Gill said in the post-match press conference.

Pant was grimacing in pain after putting in a dive to stop a delivery on his left, which Jasprit Bumrah had sprayed down the leg side in the 34th over of England’s innings. He did not keep wickets after that incident as Dhruv Jurel came in as a substitute for him.
