A Sport, they say, is a great leveller. The sheer joy of watching a sport being played by some of the best in the business is beyond comparison to any other happiness in the world. While this holds true for an ordinary fan, it does apply to sports-persons as well. Players, who themselves are fans of other sports, do take time to watch their favourite sport live. Sachin Tendulkar, for example, always marks his presence at the Wimbledon being an avid lawn tennis fan. On this occasion, soccer star David Beckham also made it to the centre court on Saturday to catch a Wimbledon game live. The image of Beckham getting the crowd applause was shared by Wimbledon’s official Facebook account.
However, the guy managing Wimbledon’s social media account failed to notice England’s pace-duo of James Anderson and Stuart Broad, who too were seated in the crowd and busy giving an ovation to Beckham. The epic image, which brought three sports — tennis, football and cricket — together under the same roof, makes for the photo of the day!
