The first match of the three-match ODI series between Pakistan and New Zealand began today in Napier, where Muhammad Abbas created history with his debut match itself. He became the first batter in the world to score the quickest half-century on ODI debut.
The young batter achieved this feat by scoring a half-century in just 24 balls. Before him, this special record was in the name of Indian allrounder Krunal Pandya, who had scored a half century in 26 balls.
