Why did Sourav Ganguly have a massive regret even after such as illustrious career? Reason is…

Speaking in an interview, Sourav Ganguly spoke about one regret that he had after his career, even though he had an illustrious time as a cricketer.

Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly- who had 38 spectacular centuries to his name in international cricket- is not happy with the number, and regrets that he missed out on scoring a lot more hundreds throughout his cricketing journey.

Sourav Ganguly was a star left-handed batter of his time, and had scored 15373 runs in Test cricket and One-Day Internationals, but he regrets that he missed out on a lot of centuries during his career- which consisted of 311 ODIs and 113 red-ball matches.

This remorse by Sourav Ganguly came to light when he was having an interview with Press Trust of India and got asked about what advise he would give to his old self. “I missed a lot of hundreds, I should have scored more. Too many 90s and 80s,” Ganguly said.

I see my (batting) videos when I am alone. When my wife is away because Sana lives in London. I go to Youtube, and watch and say ‘arre fir 70 pe out ho gaya’ (Gosh, I got out for 70 in this also), should have scored a hundred. But you can’t change it, ” Ganguly added.

A look at the statistics reveal that Sourav Ganguly got dismissed on the score of 80s and 90 for a number of times- 30 times to be exact. If he had managed to convert those scores to centuries- he would have easily scored more than 50 centuries to his already spectacular career.
