For the first time since announcing his shocking decision to retire from Test cricket, India’s batting maestro Virat Kohli has now spoken up about the topic in open light. This was during a charity event for the foundation of former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh- YouWeCan.

While inviting Virat Kohli on stage, the host Gaurav Kapoor managed the batting star to express his words on retirement from Test cricket. Gaurav stated that everyone misses Virat on the field, which was the breaking point for the former Indian captain as he spoke his mind.

Virat Kohli had a great bond with former head coach Ravi Shastri, which everyone knows. While speaking his mind, Virat thanked Ravi for shielding him during his early cricketing days and helping him become the sensation that he is.

Things would have been different and I always have respect and regard for him, for being a massive part of my cricketing journey,” Kohli said.
