To celebrate the opening weekend of the second season of the Rebel Women’s Big Bash League, players from all eight clubs will be taking part in a media launch on Goat Island in Sydney Harbour on Friday, 9 December.
Who: The following players will be in attendance:
· Adelaide Strikers: Tahlia McGrath, Charlotte Edwards
· Brisbane Heat: Jess Jonassen, Beth Mooney
· Hobart Hurricanes: Erin Burns, Amy Satterthwaite
· Melbourne Renegades: Rachel Priest, Danielle Wyatt
· Melbourne Stars: Meg Lanning, Morna Nielsen
· Perth Scorchers: Nicole Bolton, Katherine Brunt
· Sydney Sixers: Ellyse Perry, Alyssa Healy, Sara McGlashan
· Sydney Thunder: Alex Blackwell, Stafanie Taylor
What: Rebel WBBL season 2 Opening Weekend Media Launch, including:
· Vision and photo opportunities of players on board the ferry
· Open media call with Cricket Australia Head of Big Bash, Anthony Everard
· Vision and photo opportunities of players on Goat Island, including taking part in a social game of cricket with MILO T20 Blast cricketers
· Interview opportunities with WBBL players
Where: Goat Island, Port Jackson. All guests will be transported to and from the island via the WBBL Ferry departing from King Street Wharf, Lime Street, Sydney. The expected travel time is 10 minutes.
When: 11.30 am – 1 pm, Friday 9 December. Media are asked to arrive by 11.15am to ensure they are on board the ferry to the launch location.
