D Zadran to S Poynter, OUT! A marginal lbw decision this and Ireland have lost their sixth wicket! Zadran gets a length ball to skid back into the batsman sharply from the off stump line. Poynter, who has a habit of staying leg side of the delivery, fails to keep it out as he is probably beaten in pace. The ball raps him on the pads, they appeal and the finger goes up immediately. Going by the replays, it might just have missed the leg stump.

R Khan to G Dockrell, OUT! Bowled 'em! Rashid has a wicket at last. This one has skidded on and kept a tad low as well. A flatter and quicker one on middle and leg, hurries through after landing. Dockrell looks to pull it away for a maximum off the back foot but the ball evades the bat and goes on to disturb the stumps. Rashid has a stare at the batsman who departs after playing a decent knock of 37. That brings the end of the 76-run stand as well.

D Zadran to B McCarthy, OUT! Plumb in front! What an outstanding delivery by Dawlat Zadran. He spears in a full inswinging delivery on off and McCarthy falls over a bit in his stance while attempting to play the flick shot. Misses the ball completely. It hits him on the pads and the finger goes up once the appeal is made. No doubt about this one. Ireland need Stirling back on strike somehow.

D Zadran to Tim Murtagh, OUT! Another one trapped in front of the wickets. Zadran switches to 'round the wicket and angles in a good length ball from around off. Murtagh is caught napping on the back foot as he tries to defend. Fails to keep it out and is hit on the back leg. Once again the umpire raises his finger to rule the batsman out lbw. End of a brilliant over by Zadran, two wickets and a wicket from it.

B Rankin to M Shahzad, OUT! One too many from Shahzad and he has to walk back. Similar ball like the one Shahzad hit for a boundary in this over. Shahzad goes for it again but this time gets only height. The ball goes high towards mid off where Murtagh backtracks and takes a safe catch. Afghanistan lose both their openers but still hold all the aces.

B McCarthy to H Zazai, OUT! Zazai holes out and his unusual stay comes to and end. Fuller ball on middle and leg, Zazai looks to get under it and loft it over long on but doesn't get it off the screws. He knows he's in trouble. O'Brien stationed at the ropes takes it at a good height. He though is not in full control of his balance and hence tosses the ball up, steps out, comes back in and makes no mistake. A good catch in the end. The 43-run stand is over.

B Rankin to R Shah, OUT! Another one bites the dust. The reliable Rahmat Shah is back in the hut. Short ball on the body, Rahmat pulls it but doesn't get the distance on it. The ball goes into the night sky at deep square leg. Simi runs ahead, dives and takes a very good catch. One brings two, they say. Will Ireland get another one?

A flighted off spinner landing full around off from 'round the wicket, Shahidi strides forward to play the cover drive but it spins away a touch to catch the outside edge. A sharp catch by Poynter and Afghanistan lose their fourth wicket. 58 needed more.

G Dockrell to G Naib, OUT! Catching practice for the bowler! Naib won't get his fifty. A soft dismissal really. A flighted ball around middle and leg, Gulbadin tries to flick but closes the face of the bat early. It flies back to the bowler off the leading edge and Dockrell makes no mistake in his followthrough. Less than 10 runs needed for a win.
