Lokesh Rahulc Jhye Richardson b Nathan Coulter-Nile 47 26 3 4 180.77
7.1
N Coulter-Nile to L Rahul, OUT! In the air... taken! A soft, soft dismissal there. Rahul is very disappointed with himself and rightly so. He was playing so well but falls three short of a fifty. Catching practice this from KL. Coulter-Nile bangs it short and outside off. Rahul plays an upper cut despite a third man being there. He does not get it as fine as he wanted to and it goes towards Richardson who runs in and takes a neat catch. A much-needed wicket for Australia and the opening stand which was looking dangerous has been broken. Good bowling change by Finch. Can Australia now build on this?
Shikhar Dhawanc Marcus Stoinis b Jason Behrendorff 14 24 1 0 58.33
9.2
J Behrendorff to S Dhawan, OUT! The umpire feels Stoinis has his fingers underneath the ball and has given it in the fielding team's favor. I feel the soft signal has played a big part here as that could have gone either way. However, one can say, it is the right decision in the end. End of Dhawan's misery and India have lost both their openers in quick succession. Once again, the bowling change does the trick for the visitors. Behrendorff bowls it outside off and it is on a length. It is the cross-seam delivery. Sticks in the wicket a little. Dhawan lofts it over covers but it is a little too close to the sweeper. Stoinis there runs in and he seems to have taken it. The umpires though are not sure and they take it upstairs. The soft signal is out. After quite a few replays the umpire has decided to stay with the on-field call. Australia, just like the last game are crawling back into the game after the Powerplay.

Rishabh Pantc Jhye Richardson b D'Arcy Short 1 6 0 0 16.67
10.5
D Short to R Pant, OUT! What a catch that is! Jhye Richardson take a bow! Pant is now walking back and all of a sudden, India are in trouble here. Once again the bowling change has worked wonders. The sequence of dot balls increased the pressure on Pant. He tried to go downtown but mistimes his shot completely. He still might have thought, he would get away with it but Richardson at long off runs to his left, dives full stretch and takes it. Pin-drop silence at the moment here and the Australians are pumped up. Another failure for Pant.
MS Dhoni (W)c Aaron Finch b Pat Cummins 40 23 3 3 173.91
19.1
Pat Cummins to MS Dhoni, OUT! It has gone as high as it can in the night sky and Finch has taken it! End of an excellent innings though by Dhoni. He walks off to a standing ovation. Cummins bowls it full and on off, Dhoni walks right across and looks to whip it over mid-wicket. Only manages to get a leading edge which goes high up in the air towards mid off. Finch runs in from a long off and takes it.

D'Arcy Shortc Lokesh Rahul b Vijay Shankar 40 28 6 0 142.86
11.1
V Shankar to D Short, OUT! Out of all the bowlers, it is Shankar who has provided the breakthrough for the hosts. Excellent bowling change by India. The slower one does the trick. It is the leg spinner outside off. Short looks to go big but is done in by the pace. He only manages a top edge. It goes high up in the air towards cover where Rahul takes it. The dangerous 79-run stand comes to an end and Short walks back once again after getting a start.
Marcus Stoinisb Siddarth Kaul 7 11 1 0 63.64
2.2
S Kaul to M Stoinis, OUT! TIMBER! Stoinis pays the price of trying to hit it across the line! Back-to-back failures for Stoinis. Kaul lands it on a length and around off. Marcus looks to go over mid-wicket. He picked the wrong length as the ball sneaks under his bat and hits the top of off. Siddarth is pumped up and Australia lose their first very early.
Aaron Finch (C)c Shikhar Dhawan b Vijay Shankar 8 7 1 0 114.29
3.6
V Shankar to A Finch, OUT! In the air... taken! Shankar gets rid of the Australian captain. Aaron Finch's bad form continues and Australia find themselves in big trouble here. Once again an Australian batsman pays the price of trying to play across the line. Finch goes for the hoick over the leg side but the ball skids through. Takes the top edge and goes high up in the air towards cover. Dhawan there settles under it, calls for it and takes it. 169 more needed in 96 balls.
