Kusal Perera (W)c David Warner b James Faulkner 22 18 4 0 122.22
5.4
J Faulkner to K Perera, OUT! That is a stunning catch! David Warner, take a bow... It was a fuller length around off, the off-cutter, Perera looks to flick but gets a leading edge. The ball goes high in the air but clears mid off. Matthew Wade runs behind from mid off but there is another man running towards him from mid on. It is that man Warner, running like a panther. He keeps his eyes on the ball and Wade backs off. Warner puts in the dive and takes an almost impossible catch. What a take. Brilliant.
Tillakaratne Dilshanc David Warner b John Hastings 1 3 0 0 33.33
1.2
J Hastings to T Dilshan, OUT! DILSHAN DEPARTS! It is a pity to see him walk off so soon! Back of a length ball and wide outside off, Dilshan stays back and slashes at it. The ball takes a bottom edge near the toe of the bat and sends it to David Warner at first slip. He bends low and pouches it with both hands. Dilshan walks to the ropes, gets down on his knees and with his arms raised, bows down to the crowd who have come out in droves to support him.
Dhananjaya de Silvac James Faulkner b Mitchell Starc 62 50 5 0 124
19.4
M Starc to de Silva, OUT! Another good catch by an Australian fielder today. This time it's James Faulkner! Full toss outside off, de Silva looks to loft it over the off side but doesn't time it well at all. Faulkner from mid off runs to his left and takes a very good catch near extra cover. Starc gets his first and de Silva's fine knock comes to an end.
Dinesh Chandimal (C)c & b James Faulkner 4 5 0 0 80
7.1
J Faulkner to D Chandimal, OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! The skipper departs for 4! Shortish ball on middle and off, Chandimal looks to flick it but plays it too early and the ball takes a leading edge. Faulkner continues running, going to his right and takes a simple catch.
Kusal Mendislbw b Adam Zampa 5 7 1 0 71.43
8.5
A Zampa to K Mendis, OUT! LBW! That looked very close and the umpire has raised his finger. After a long time, Zampa manages to pitch it full. Mendis gets down to paddle but misses and is hit on the pads. Zampa is the lone man appealing but that is enough for the umpire as he sends the batsman on his way. Oh dear... HAWK EYE shows it to be PITCHING OUTSIDE LEG! Mendis does not want to go but he has to... walks back with dejection on his face.
Chamara Kapugederac David Warner b Adam Zampa 7 12 0 0 58.33
12.3
A Zampa to C Kapugedera, OUT! Another terrific catch by Warner! Shortish ball around off, Kapugedera swings his bat without a clear plan. The ball sails low and parallel to the ground to Warner at mid-wicket. Warner dives forward and takes a blinder of a catch. The man seems charmed today and nothing is escaping his hands.
Thisara Pererac Travis Head b Adam Zampa 0 2 0 0 0
12.5
A Zampa to T Perera, OUT! CAUGHT FOR A DUCK! Shortish ball outside off and spinning back in, Thisara looks to pull it. The ball is high in the air and it looks like it might go for a maximum but then comes back down to square leg. Travis Head is waiting for it and cups his hands. at the ropes. That is yet another wicket for Zampa!
Sachith Pathiranac & b John Hastings 6 5 1 0 120
14.1
J Hastings to S Pathirana, OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! THAT WAS EASILY DONE! Back of a length ball on middle and off, Pathirana looks to pull it off the front foot to the leg side. The ball takes a top edge though and is lobbed to short extra cover. Hastings runs to his left and takes an easy catch. Another soft dismissal for the hosts.
Seekkuge Prasannac Usman Khawaja b James Faulkner 7 11 0 0 63.64
17.6
J Faulkner to S Prasanna, OUT! UP AND OUT! Full on the stumps, Prasanna lofts it high over mid on. Usman Khawaja gets in place and pouches the ball. There is a moment when he stumbles but recovers and Sri Lanka lose another wicket.

S Pathirana to D Warner, OUT! THREE DOWN! The skipper walks off! Flighted on middle, Warner gets down on one knee and half sweep and half pulls it through backward square leg. The ball just doesn't have enough steam and flies into the reverse cup of Thisara Perera. Second wicket in the space of three deliveries!
Glenn Maxwellb Seekkuge Prasanna 66 29 7 4 227.59

S Prasanna to G Maxwell, OUT! BOWLED! Tossed up around off, Maxwell waits for it looking to punch it but the ball turns in more than anticipated and Maxi inside edges it onto his stumps. The bowler says something to Maxwell as he walks off and the batsman has something to say back but nothing can cast a shadow over than power-packed innings.
Moises Henriquesst Kusal Perera b Sachith Pathirana 1 3 0 0 33.33
9.1
S Pathirana to M Henriques, OUT! STUMPED! Henriques steps down the track and tries to play this one but misses it. The keeper Perera collects the ball and whips off the bails as Henriques tries to make it back. Replays show Moises is just short and he has to walk back. Horror tour for the New South Wales all-rounder.
James Faulknerrun out (Dinesh Chandimal) 1 2 0 0 50
10.4
S Prasanna to M Wade, OUT! FAULKNER IS RUN OUT! What's happening? Australia are suddenly losing wickets and this one looks unnecessary. On the pads, Wade flicks it to mid-wicket and the batsmen decide to take a run. Chandimal fielding there collects the ball and throws it at the striker's end where Faulkner tries to make it back. Replays confirm the Australian all-rounder falls short and Sri Lanka sneak through another wicket.
Matthew Wadec Dinesh Chandimal b Tillakaratne Dilshan 14 23 0 0 60.87
16.6
T Dilshan to M Wade, OUT! CAUGHT! That was the wrong choice of shot for that ball. Pitched outside leg, Wade goes for a pre-meditated reverse sweep and lobs it straight to Dinesh Chandimal at short extra cover who starts celebrating even before he catches it.
Usman Khawajalbw b Tillakaratne Dilshan 6 15 0 0 40

T Dilshan to U Khawaja, OUT! DILSHAN WITH A WICKET! Excellent stuff. On his final match, he couldn't deliver with the bat but is doing so now with the ball. A flatter ball which is drifting in, Usman Khawaja kneels down to sweep this away but misses the ball completely. Is rapped on the pads and there are roaring appeals for a leg before. The umpire doesn't hesitate to raise his finger and correctly so, because that was dead plumb. Something to smile about for Dilshan.
