6.2
C Woakes to M Guptill, OUT! Three reds and Guptill's positive stay does not last long. He takes a review along with him. That looked out to be honest, that review should not have been taken. Woakes gets his length spot on this time. This is slightly fuller around off, it comes back in. Guptill does not adjust to the movement and hence, ends up driving outside the line. It hits the back pad. An appeal and the umpire raises the finger. Guptill, after a chat with his partner, reviews. Replays roll in and they show that the ball is hitting the middle pole. An important wicket for England as Guptill looked very determined and he was also the hitting the ball decently.
Henry Nichollsb Liam Plunkett 55 77 4 0 71.43

L Plunkett to H Nicholls, OUT! Drags it on! Plunkett now has both the set batters. Nicholls does not last for long after getting to his half ton. A loose, loose shot. This is another scrambled seam delivery outside off, Nicholls goes after it away from his body with no foot movement. He gets an inside edge which hits the stumps behind. Plunkett is bowling a brilliant second spell. New Zealand suddenly in a spot of bother.
Kane Williamson (C)c Jos Buttler b Liam Plunkett 30 53 2 0 56.6
22.4
L Plunkett to K Williamson, OUT! There is a spike on Ultra Edge and Williamson has to take the long walk back! Big, big wicket and Plunkett is the partnership breaker. The bowling change has worked wonders for England. This is a top delivery. It is a scrambled seam delivery. It lands around off and then straightens. Williamson plays inside the line. The ball kisses the outside edge and goes straight into the hands of the keeper. The England players are appealing but the umpire shakes his head. Morgan reviews immediately. Replays roll in and they show the on-field call has to be overturned. The English players are ecstatic. Williamson walks back after getting off to a start. Timely wicket for England as the partnership was starting to flourish.
Ross Taylorlbw b Mark Wood 15 31 0 0 48.39
33.1
M Wood to R Taylor, OUT! LBW! Wood strikes straightaway after being brought into the attack! Once again the bowling change does the trick for England. Another big wicket for England. He was supposedly going to be the anchor once Williamson fell but he too has to take the long walk back. Wood lands this around off and then this jags back in. Taylor looks to flick but misses to get hit around the knee roll. A huge appeal follows and the umpire raises the finger. No reviews left so Taylor has to continue walking back. New Zealand in trouble. Now then... that did look high and Hawk Eye confirms that it is going over.
Tom Latham (W)c sub b Chris Woakes 47 56 2 1 83.93
48.3
C Woakes to Tom Latham, OUT! Another soft dismissal! No fifty for Latham. A slower full toss outside off, Latham looks to loft it over mid off but is early in the shot. It goes off the toe end straight to mid off where Vince, the sub, takes another catch. Can England now bowl New Zealand out? They are into the bowling all-rounders.
Jimmy Neeshamc Joe Root b Liam Plunkett 19 25 3 0 76
38.6
L Plunkett to J Neesham, OUT! CAUGHT! Neesham has thrown it away! This is a soft, soft dismissal. Neesham will be very disappointed with himself. Once again it is Plunkett who is the partnership breaker. His third of the day. It is another scrambled seam delivery and it is on middle. Neesham looks to go over mid on. The idea was right but the execution and the timing was not there. It goes straight to Root there who makes no mistake. England once again strike at the right time. Half the side back in the hut for New Zealand. 250 looks a long way away now. 8 runs but a wicket from the over.
Colin de Grandhommec sub b Chris Woakes 16 28 0 0 57.14
46.5
C Woakes to de Grandhomme, OUT! In the air... taken! Colin de Grandhomme's struggle comes to an end. He just never timed the ball that well and now departs. The slower one gets the better of him. It is on middle. Colin looks to whip it on the leg side but closes the face of the bat very early. A leading edge is induced which lobs to mid off where Vince, the sub, takes an easy catch.
Mitchell Santnernot out 5 9 0 0 55.56
Matt Henryb Jofra Archer 4 2 1 0 200
49.3
J Archer to M Henry, OUT! Knocked him over! Henry has been bowled off a full toss. Henry may not be ready for it. It is on off at 147 KPH. Henry swings but misses to see the furniture behind get disturbed. So just a boundary for Henry. Archer gets his 1st, his 20th in the World Cup.

M Henry to J Roy, OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! Matt Henry has broken through. Once again he is the man who has provided the breakthrough for New Zealand with the new ball. A much-needed one and for once, England's opening stand does not account for a lot. This is another superb delivery. It is slightly fuller and then shapes away. Roy pushes at it but does so inside the line. The ball takes the outside edge and goes low to Latham who takes it with a dive forward and across. Roy starts walking but the umpires want to check if it has carried and replays show it has. New Zealand are delighted.
Jonny Bairstowb Lockie Ferguson 36 55 7 0 65.45
19.3
L Ferguson to J Bairstow, OUT! Drags it on! Jonny Bairstow is out of here. Ferguson has the last laugh. Another English batter who falls to a loose stroke. This is short and outside off, Bairstow goes after it away from his body, he ends up playing outside the line. The ball takes the inside edge and deflects onto the stumps. The dropped catch does not cost a lot. Jonny fails after getting off to a start. England in a spot of bother here.
Joe Rootc Tom Latham b Colin de Grandhomme 7 30 0 0 23.33
16.3
de Grandhomme to Joe Root, OUT! Caught behind! Colin de Grandhomme gets Root! Another loose stroke from Joe Root. The last two balls he faced, the shots he played, it was very uncharacteristic from him. De Grandhomme bowls this full and wide outside off. It is the sucker ball. Root is sucked into the stroke. He goes after it away from the body. The ball takes the outside edge and goes into the mitts of Latham. Body blow for England as Root is supposed to be the batter around whom everyone plays around. Game on here! 183 needed in 201 balls.
Eoin Morgan (C)c Lockie Ferguson b Jimmy Neesham 9 22 0 0 40.91
23.1
J Neesham to E Morgan, OUT! THAT IS CLEAN AS A WHISTLE! Morgan has to walk back! Jimmy Neesham has started his spell off in dream fashion. However, a lot of credit here has to be given to Ferguson. He just finished his spell and now has put in a brilliant effort in the field. Morgan dances down the track and Neesham bowls it short and wide outside off. Eoin slaps it but does not keep it down. It seems as if, it would fall safe but Ferguson in the deep, runs in, dives forward and seems to have taken it. Neesham is not sure but Ferguson signals out as soon as he gets up. Morgan is going nowhere. The umpire takes it upstairs and the soft signal is OUT! Replays roll in and they show that the on-field call is the right one. Also, replays show that Morgan straightaway knew he was in trouble when he hit it. He screamed a loud no as soon as the ball connected the bat. New Zealand on top here.

Jos Buttler (W)c sub b Lockie Ferguson 59 60 6 0 98.33
44.5
L Ferguson to Jos Buttler, OUT! In the air... taken! Buttler is out of here! Another excellent catch by a New Zealand fielder. It is Southee, the sub who has taken it. Fielding wins you games and this catch probably can win New Zealand the World Cup. It is a slower one outside off, Buttler once again tries to reach out for it. He ends up slicing it towards sweeper cover. Tim runs in and takes it with a slide. End of a brilliant partnership and a lovely innings from Buttler but they needed both to go on. 46 needed in 31. Game once again evenly poised.
Chris Woakesc Tom Latham b Lockie Ferguson 2 4 0 0 50
46.1
L Ferguson to C Woakes, OUT! Ferguson gets another one! Woakes fails to make an impact! Ideal start to the over. Credit to Tom Latham too. he made a difficult catch look easy. This is short and on middle, Woakes looks to heave it across the line but only gets a top edge. It goes behind to Latham who settles under it and takes it by tumbling forward. Third for Ferguson. Into the bowling all-rounders are New Zealand. Stokes will probably have to do it alone now.
Liam Plunkettc Trent Boult b Jimmy Neesham 10 10 1 0 100
48.3
J Neesham to L Plunkett, OUT! Plunkett holes out! It is not just a wicket but a dot. Another delivery used up. It is now 22 from 9. A slower one on off, Plunkett looks to go downtown but fails to get the timing right. Boult at long off makes no mistake. However, the important thing is the batters have crossed. Stokes will be on strike.
Jofra Archerb Jimmy Neesham 0 1 0 0 0

J Neesham to J Archer, OUT! KABOOM! A first-baller for Archer. He keeps it simple, it is on the stumps. Archer swings across the line. He misses, the ball hits the pads and the ball deflects onto the stumps. 15 needed in the last 6 balls. It is going to be Boult against Stokes who will try and face all six balls. Who will keep his nerve?

T Boult to Ben Stokes, OUT! RUN OUT! Just the single! 2 needed on the last ball. Full and outside off, Stokes hammers it down to long off and the batters take one. They go for the second. Santner throws it to the bowler who collects it and whips the bails off.
Mark Woodrun out (Jimmy Neesham) 0 0 0 0 0

T Boult to Ben Stokes, OUT! He has not! WE HEAD INTO THE SUPER OVER! What an end to the game. A full toss on middle, this is hit down to long on. The batters take one, they go for the second. It is thrown to the bowler who collects it and whips the bails off. The umpire goes upstairs to check and replays show that Wood is way short.
