Chris Gaylec Mushfiqur Rahim b Mohammad Saifuddin 0 13 0 0 0
3.2
M Saifuddin to C Gayle, OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! Saifuddin gets the big fish. Gayle is out of here without making an impact. A well-deserved wicket for MS and he set the batsman up beautifully. He kept bringing the ball back in till now and suddenly gets this one to angle across. The length and line are also perfect. He bowls it just around off. Gayle once again plays for the inswing which means he plays inside the line. The ball kisses the outside edge and goes low to the left of Rahim who takes a nice diving catch. Bangladesh are elated and this is the ideal start for them after electing to bowl.
Evin Lewisc sub b Shakib Al Hasan 70 67 6 2 104.48
24.3
Al Hasan to E Lewis, OUT! Caught in the deep! No century for Lewis and the Bangladeshis have broken through. The 116-stand is cut short. West Indies are reaching a stage where the run rate needs to be upped a little. That is what Lewis might have thought. Looks to go big, aiming to clear long off, but this one hits the bottom part of his bat. He ends up finding Sabbir Rahman, the substitute at long off. Looks unhappy with himself and trudges off. Shakib was not bowling that well today and hence Lewis may have targetted him. But eventually, Shakib has the last laugh.
Shai Hope (W)c Liton Das b Mustafizur Rahman 96 121 4 1 79.34
46.6
M Rahman to S Hope, OUT! Caught! No century for Hope! That is such a sad, sad thing for him! Played so well for so long, got stranded of partners and eventually, neither could he bat through, nor get his century. It is the best ball in the tournament or in ODIs of late. The full toss. An easy put away, that too, on the pads and Hope puts it away as well. But straight to deep backward square leg where Liton Das takes it easily! This is turning out to be a very good finish for Bangladesh.
Nicholas Pooranc Soumya Sarkar b Shakib Al Hasan 25 30 2 1 83.33
32.2
Al Hasan to N Pooran, OUT! In the air... taken! Pooran holes out. He walks back after getting off to a start. A good wicket for Bangladesh as he was looking good and has also been in form. Nothing wrong with him playing this shot to be honest, it was in his arc. Full and on middle, Pooran goes down on one knee and looks to clear the long on fence but his bat turns in his hands due to which he does not get the timing he would have liked. There is more height than distance on it and Sarkar at long on takes a good catch. Bangladesh once again get a timely wicket due to which the Windies are not able to get ahead in this game.
Shimron Hetmyerc Tamim Iqbal b Mustafizur Rahman 50 26 4 3 192.31
39.3
M Rahman to S Hetmyer, OUT! Taken in the deep! Hetmyer falls after a whirlwind knock. His innings has given the West Indies some much-needed impetus. It is another cutter from the Fizz but Shimron does not pick it. He is early into his slog and gets a top edge. The ball swirls in the air but Tamim Iqbal running to his right from deep mid-wicket keeps his eyes on the ball and takes it with a good dive.
Andre Russellc Mushfiqur Rahim b Mustafizur Rahman 0 2 0 0 0
39.6
M Rahman to A Russell, OUT! Caught behind! This time, there is a nick and Russell departs for a blob! Similar ball as the previous one. This is the cutter as well, pitched outside leg but this one has extra bounce. Russell looks to defend but the ball zips away, takes the outside edge and Rahim completes the formalities after diving to his right. Mustafizur completes the formalities of appealing as well, as per the norm. Does not want to get penalized by Glenn McGrath who was penalzied by umpire Hanumant Singh sometime in the early 2000s for not appealing. What an over - 3 runs and 2 wickets! Momentum-shifting?
Jason Holder (C)c Mahmudullah b Mohammad Saifuddin 33 15 4 2 220
43.4
M Saifuddin to J Holder, OUT! Caught! Holder departs and this could dent the total big time. A full toss, around middle and leg, Holder looks to flick but gets a leading edge. The ball goes high in the air and Mahmudullah takes it calmly at long off. A cameo from Holder but his team needed more from him.
Darren Bravob Mohammad Saifuddin 19 15 0 2 126.67
49.6
M Saifuddin to D Bravo, OUT! BOWLED! Corker of a yorker and Saifuddin ends his spell with a wicket. It is a slower ball, at 126 kph, Bravo is early into his swing and misses. The Zing bails illuminate. WEST INDIES FINISH ON 321/8!

S Cottrell to T Iqbal, OUT! Tamim is short! Sheldon Cottrell has provided something outstanding. West Indies needed some spark and Cottrell may have just provided it. He goes full and on middle, Tamim strokes it back to the bowler and sets off for a run. Sheldon sticks his left hand out and fields the ball. Seeing that Tamim stops. Sheldon fires the throw to the keeper's end and hits the bull's eye. Tamim looks to get back in with a dive. The players appeal and the umpire takes it upstairs. Replays roll in and they show Tamim is short. He walks back disappointed as a run out was probably the only way he could have got out. He was playing so well. However, a very good innings and a top partnership comes to an end.
Soumya Sarkarc Chris Gayle b Andre Russell 29 23 2 2 126.09
8.2
A Russell to S Sarkar, OUT! Russell gets his revenge! A much-needed wicket for West Indies. The high-flying opening stand has been cut short. Russell goes short again but this is on the body. Sarkar looks to guide it down to third man. He has been doing it so well till now but this time misreads the length. It is too close to the body and hence, the ball hits the higher part of the bat and lobs towards wide first slip where Gayle takes it with a theoretical dive. AR is pumped and now Windies will look to pull things back.

O Thomas to M Rahim, OUT! Rahim is caught down the leg side! A soft, soft dismissal and he looks to the heavens as he walks back. He should be very disappointed with himself. It is a harmless delivery, down the leg side. Rahim looks to flick but it goes off the face and straight into the mitts of Hope who takes it. Two wickets in quick succession for West Indies and they are right back in the game. 189 more needed in 186.
