Martin Guptillc Dinesh Karthik b Bhuvneshwar Kumar 13 15 1 1 86.67
6.1
B Kumar to M Guptill, OUT! Edged and gone! Now both the openers are back in the dressing room. India off to a fine start again with the ball. Bhuvneshwar throws it fuller and outside off, it's there to be hit and Guptill goes for it too, but the slight away movement maybe becomes his undoing. He gets a feather behind and Karthik completes the formalities.
Colin Munroc Rohit Sharma b Mohammed Shami 7 9 1 0 77.78
1.6
M Shami to C Munro, OUT! Gone this time! Munro survived a scare just a couple of balls ago, but pays the price this time. Can't make the most of the life given to him. Ahead of a length and outside off, Munro's eyes light up seeing the width. He looks to smash it through the covers but gets an edge to first slip where Rohit Sharma takes a straightforward catch. First breakthrough for India. Also, Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson walks in at no.3.
Kane Williamson (C)c Hardik Pandya b Yuzvendra Chahal 28 48 4 0 58.33
16.2
Y Chahal to K Williamson, OUT! What a catch from the returning Hardik Pandya! Incredible stuff. And it's the big fish Kane Williamson to depart. He was looking frustrated out there, and now his stay has come to an end. A lot of flight on leg stump, Williamson steps out and flicks it aerially towards mid-wicket. Pandya there dives full stretch to his left and takes a stunner. New Zealand in a real spot of bother, they've lost their talisman and skipper.
Ross Taylorc Dinesh Karthik b Mohammed Shami 93 106 9 0 87.74
45.1
M Shami to R Taylor, OUT! The bat has hit the pad and there is an outside edge too! No century for Ross Taylor. How disappointing, but a terrific knock nonetheless, once again. He's stood tall when his team's been under the pump. Length delivery around off, some slight movement away, Taylor looks to run it down but gets an edge behind. Karthik takes it and India celebrate. Rosco, however, takes the DRS as he thinks he hasn't edged it, from the looks of it. And that it's gone off the pad? Anyway, replays roll in and show there is a definite edge.
Tom Latham (W)c Ambati Rayudu b Yuzvendra Chahal 51 64 1 1 79.69
37.3
Y Chahal to Tom Latham, OUT! Holes out in the deep! India get the breakthrough at last. The 119-run stand is broken. A similar shot to how Latham has been playing so far. Coming down the track and taking the ball on the full. One occasion, he got a biggie. This time though, the timing is not quite there. Simple catch for Ambati Rayudu at deep mid-wicket. The moment Latham connected his flick, he knew and admonished himself. A platform has been set though.
Henry Nichollsc Dinesh Karthik b Hardik Pandya 6 8 0 0 75
39.3
H Pandya to H Nicholls, OUT! Gloved behind! Nicholls was safe on the previous ball but he is gone now. The short ball, down the leg side, Henry looked to pull but was cramped for room. Only managed to glove it behind. Easy catch for Karthik. Couple of quick wickets for India.
Mitchell Santnerc Dinesh Karthik b Hardik Pandya 3 9 0 0 33.33
41.3
H Pandya to M Santner, OUT! Pandya picks up his second of the innings. New Zealand lose another wicket and slip further. Sloppy dismissal, really. It's hurled wide outside off, Santner throws his bat at it. Nothing wrong with it, but that's a ball he should be hitting. Gets an edge behind and Karthik does the rest.
Doug Bracewellrun out (Virat Kohli) 15 18 1 0 83.33
48.1
B Kumar to T Boult, OUT! Bracewell is run out. Quick wickets for India. Will New Zealand even last the full 50 overs? Boult pushes this towards short mid-wicket and Bracewell takes off, when there's no run to be had. Kohli gets to the ball quickly, runs to the stumps and takes the bails off. Easily done.
Ish Sodhic Virat Kohli b Mohammed Shami 12 12 0 1 100
47.6
M Shami to Ish Sodhi, OUT! Makes amends this time. Cost his side just two runs more. Shami bowls it fuller and slower around off, Sodhi slogs it straight down Kohli's throat at long on. He takes it safely this time.
Trent Boultc Mohammed Shami b Bhuvneshwar Kumar 2 4 0 0 50
48.6
B Kumar to T Boult, OUT! NEW ZEALAND HAVE BEEN BOWLED OUT FOR 243! A slower length delivery outside the line of off stump, Trent Boult backs away and throws everything at it. Gets a fat top edge which balloons towards short third man. Shami comes under it and takes it.

Rohit Sharmast Tom Latham b Mitchell Santner 62 77 3 2 80.52
28.5
M Santner to R Sharma, OUT! Beautiful bowling by Mitchell Santner. Nothing Rohit could do about it once he came so far down. Santner slows it up and bowls it short outside off, it turns away and the slowness of the ball does Rohit in. He swings across the line and misses it completely. Latham completes the formalities as the batsman slips too. Partnership of 113 comes to an end.
Shikhar Dhawanc Ross Taylor b Trent Boult 28 27 6 0 103.7
8.2
T Boult to S Dhawan, OUT! Trent Boult strikes and breaks this dangerous opening stand. Good breakthrough for New Zealand. A length delivery around off, moving away from the batsman, Dhawan plays away from his body without any foot movement and gets a thick edge behind. It goes straight to Ross Taylor at first slip who makes no mistake in taking it. Shikhar was looking dangerous out there, New Zealand will be happy to see his back.
Virat Kohli (C)c Henry Nicholls b Trent Boult 60 74 6 1 81.08
31.1
T Boult to V Kohli, OUT! That is a stunner from Henry Nicholls! The best batsman from either side of the game has been dismissed by stingers in this game. Williamson earlier, by Pandya. Now, it is Nicholls. Full and wide outside off, Kohli reaches out and plays a cracking cover drive. Everything looks so good about that shot - the footwork, the timing and the poise - only the result is not favourable. Kohli does not bother keeping the ball down and for a second it seems it is a wise decision - till Henry Nicholls leaps and takes a terrific two-handed catch. Quick wickets for New Zealand then. Do they still have a chance? 76 more needed from 113 balls.
