After being hit for a boundary on the previous ball, Varun pulls the length back and dishes out the googly, flatter and shorter, on middle and leg, Reeza Hendricks stays on the back foot and tries to keep it out with a straight bat. Does not pick the googly from the hand or off the deck. The ball lands and spins back in to cut him in half as it goes past the inside edge and hits the leg stump. South Africa lose their third wicket. Hendricks goes for 24 (21).

Varun Chakaravarthy to Aiden Markram, OUT! CLEANED HIM UP! Aiden Markram looked unsettled since that blow to the helmet and he departs now. Instant impact for Varun Chakaravarthy. Slips in the googly and it is slower through the air, on the fuller side, on off,  Aiden Markram is tempted by the flight as he clears his front leg to go across the line. The ball turns in enough to go under the bat and crashes into the off stump. South Africa are now 33/2, needing 92 runs from 88 balls.

A conventional leg-break from Varun this time around, flat and full around off. Heinrich Klaasen gets his front foot out of the way to create room for himself. He fails to get his bat underneath the ball and goes through the shot. Lofts it aerially but it goes off the toe-end of the willow. Varun Chakaravarthy to David Miller, OUT! KNOCKED HIM OVER! Chakravarthy is on a wicket-hunt here. David Miller goes for a golden duck and South Africa are in all sorts of trouble now. Varun Chakaravarthy changes the angle of attack for the left-hander and bowls from around the stumps. Drifts it into the stumps and lands it fuller in length, just around off, David Miller does not pick up the googly and plays inside the line of the ball. It grips, turns and beats the outside edge before crashing into the off stump. David Miller stands there in disbelief.
