The Indians go up in an appeal and the umpire gives it out. The replays show that the impact was outside off. Floated on off, holds it line, Watling comes forward to defend but gets an outside edge which goes through Saha's gloves and into the hands of Ajinkya Rahane at first slip. The ball actually popped out but Rahane did well to hold it. End of a fine stand for New Zealand. A timely wicket for India, just close to the Tea break.

He though deflects it onto the stumps and they go up in an appeal. Guptill was run out in similar fashion if you remember. Third umpire is referred and replays show that Patel is short of the crease. That's another moment of fortune for India.

R Ashwin to Boult, OUT! ASHWIN TAKES SIX! Floated on off, Boult comes down the track to have a go at it but ends up getting a top edge. Pujara runs back from mid-wicket and pouches the catch.
