Imam-ul-Haqb Jhye Richardson 0 5 0 0 0
0.5
J Richardson to Imam, OUT! BOWLED 'EM! Richardson draws first blood! His excellent start just gets better. He has been excellent with his line and length throughout the first over. Continues doing that as he lands this one on off and it is a touch fuller. This time though the ball shapes back in a little. Imam plays down the wrong line, he gets an inside edge and the ball uproots the off pole. He walks back without troubling the scorers. Not the start the hosts would have wanted after electing to bat.
Shan Masoodc Shaun Marsh b Jhye Richardson 19 15 4 0 126.67
6.1
J Richardson to S Masood, OUT! Leading edge and taken! Soft, soft dismissal there and now both the openers are back in the hut. Timely one for the Aussies as this partnership was looking good, Masood especially. Not a great delivery this though, it is shortish and around middle, sticks in the surface a little. Masood looks to play it with a closed-face bat but closes the face a touch early. It goes off the leading edge towards short mid-wicket where Marsh takes an easy catch. Second for Jhye and Pakistan in a spot of bother here.
Haris Sohailc Alex Carey b Aaron Finch 34 46 5 0 73.91
17.3
A Finch to H Sohail, OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! It is Finch who has provided the breakthrough. With all due respect to the Aussie skipper, he is probably the last bowler I thought who would get one of the two as they looked at ease out there. Also, the number which the Aussies consider unlucky (87) has worked in their favor here. It is the arm ball from Finch. It lands on off and angles away. Sohail plays inside the line and gets an outside edge. Carey takes it and appeals and the umpire raises his finger. Sohail walks in disappointment and rightly so. He is only Finch's third ODI wicket. The other two are Rohit Sharma and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Mohammad Rizwan (W)c Glenn Maxwell b Nathan Coulter-Nile 115 126 11 0 91.27
46.4
N Coulter-Nile to M Rizwan, OUT! After a long time, the third umpire rules the decision in the favour of the bowling team. The replays are inconclusive says the third umpire after watching many slow-mos. He then proceeds to say that there is no movement of the skirting in the replays that he sees and hence, rules it as out. A length ball on middle, Rizwan lifts it to long on where Maxwell leaps and takes a good catch. He realises he is too close to the rope and hence throws the ball up, goes outside and then comes back in to complete the catch. There is a need to check this by the umpires and they go upstairs showing the soft signal as out. The replays roll in and the third umpire too stays with the soft signal as there is no evidence to turn over the decision. Good job by the Big Show. Rizwan walks back after a really good knock.
Umar Akmalc Peter Handscomb b Nathan Lyon 16 21 2 0 76.19
22.3
N Lyon to U Akmal, OUT! In the air... taken! Akmal, who was looking nice and positive out there, has to walk back. The shortish leg side boundary might have tempted him there to take the aerial route. He looks to pull this short ball over the mid-wicket fence but it hits the higher part of the bat and lobs towards deep mid-wicket. Handscomb runs in and takes a neat catch. First one for Lyon and wickets at regular intervals keeping the Aussies on top here. Umar Akmal is absolutely gutted with himself, he knows these opportunities won't come easily to him.
Shoaib Malik (C)c Glenn Maxwell b Adam Zampa 60 61 3 1 98.36
44.4
A Zampa to S Malik, OUT! Malik holes out! A flatter one on middle, the skipper charges down the track and looks to hit it over long on but gets too close to the ball hence does not get the elevation. This time, Maxwell makes no mistake and holds on to the catch easily. A good knock from Shoaib but Pakistan needed him to be till the end as he is capable of getting quick runs.
Faheem Ashrafc Peter Handscomb b Nathan Coulter-Nile 14 14 1 1 100
48.4
N Coulter-Nile to F Ashraf, OUT! This time a half-volley gets the wicket! Coulter-Nile will consider himself lucky. A fuller length ball outside off, Ashraf looked to smash it over long on again but can only get it as far as Handscomb at long on. He is kicking himself as he goes off the field.

Y Shah to U Khawaja, OUT! The pressure tells and finally a wicket for Pakistan! Khawaja holes out in the deep. No hundred for him. A flatter ball outside off, Usman goes for a slog sweep but finds deep mid-wicket. Imam there makes no mistake. The mammoth 209-run stand is broken! Can this be the opening Pakistan want? It seems a little too late though. 76 runs required in 80 balls now.

F Ashraf to G Maxwell, RUN OUT! Maxwell has to depart from here after some hard hitting. He is unlucky here as he just replied to his skipper's call. Finch nudges this short ball off his back foot to the leg side. Haris Sohail at backward square leg comes running in and gathers the ball quickly and hits the bull's eye. Maxwell was way short there. He knew it and straightaway started walking.
