V Philander to Imam, OUT! LBW! 50th Test wicket at Cape Town for Philander and both the openers are back in the hut now, that too cheaply. Pakistan in trouble here. The inswinger gets the better of Imam this time. Philander learns from the previous two occasions, gets it fuller this time and bowls it around off, it tails back in. Imam does not account for the movement and tries to defend with a big stride forward. He misses and the ball thuds into his pads. An appeal follows and the umpire after giving a long thought, raises his finger. Imam walks upto his partner and then reviews. Replays roll in and they show that the ball is clipping the top of off. Umpire's call it is and Imam has to continue his long walk back. Pakistan don't lose a review though.

D Steyn to Zaman, OUT! What a brute of a delivery that is! That took off from nowhere. Just unplayable from Steyn. He has not been at his best today, but such is the class of that man, he can produce something out of nothing. He bends his back on this one, bowls it just behind a length around middle. Zaman has his weight on the front foot but then has to go back. The ball though hurries onto him and also the bounce gets big on him. He tries to fend at it with both feet in the air. It hits the splice and lobs behind the stumps. Bavuma from gully runs in and takes an easy catch. An early wicket for South Africa and Zaman walks back for a cheap score. Ideal start for the hosts.

K Rabada to Masood, OUT! Rabada has provided the breakthrough South Africa have been looking for. Ends the 60-run stand and also a very decent innings from Shan. Rabada makes excellent use of the angle, he lands it on a length around off, slants away. Masood tries to defend but due to the angle, the ball takes the outside edge and goes in between first slip and the keeper. Quinton de Kock dives to his left and takes a solid catch. Needed something special to break this stand and de Kock has provided it. South Africa are now into the tail. Can they wrap it up quickly?

D Olivier to A Ali, OUT! A snorter there by Olivier to get Azhar for the third time in the series. Once again the batter has been bounced out. Olivier continues his good form as he strikes in the first over itself. On the shorter side, skids onto the batsman and also keeps rising. Ali tries to defend by hopping but the ball takes the outside edge and goes into the hands of Amla at first slip. The hosts are ecstatic as they know how big a wicket this is. Pakistan slip further.

K Rabada to Shafiq, OUT! EDGED AND GONE! Timely wicket for South Africa. This partnership was starting to look good, it accounted for 32 in 41 deliveries but it has now been cut short. Rabada now has a wicket to his name, so all the pacers have a wicket each. This is on a length and around off, Shafiq hangs his bat out, it takes the outside edge and flies towards Elgar at third slip. He takes it easily.

D Olivier to B Azam, OUT! In the air... taken! Half the side back in the hut and we are not even done with the first session. Not sure if that was poor judgment of length by Azam or did the ball just not bounce. I feel it is the former one. South Africa won't care though. It is just behind a length around off, it comes back in after pitching. Azam tries to sway away, expecting the ball to bounce a lot more. He also fails to drop his hands down, the ball then hits his glove and lobs towards Faf du Plessis at second slip. He accepts a dolly. Pakistan now in dire straits here.

D Olivier to Ahmed, OUT! The captain departs. Olivier with the breakthrough. Sarfraz will be frustrated with that dismissal. Not the best of deliveries. It is a touch wide outside off, Sarfraz tries to cut it over the slip cordon, but gets an outside edge. It is a good catch from de Kock behind the stumps as he dives to his right and takes it. A brilliant innings of 56 comes to an end. 7 down for Pakistan. The score of 200 for them looks unlikely now.

Olivier bowls it on a length on off, Yasir tries to defend it but gets an outside edge of the bat and the ball goes straight to the third slip fielder du Plessis who takes a comfortable catch. 4 wickets for Olivier. S Masood to Markram, OUT! TIMBER! Wicket off the last ball of the day. And it comes from the most unlikely source - Shan Masood. What a masterstroke from Sarfraz Ahmed. Delight for Pakistan. However, this is a very fortunate dismissal for them. Nothing Markram could have done about that. It is a touch short on off, it pitches and jags back. Keeps very low. It almost seemed like it never left the ground. Markram tries to defend it from the crease but then seeing the bad bounce, tries to adjust, is not able to do so and the ball knocks the off stump out. M Amir to Elgar, OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! The bowling change has worked wonders. Amir puts a stop on the free-flowing opening stand. However, Elgar will be disappointed with the shot, he is a very good leaver but this time hangs his bat out to this back of a length ball outside off, it also rises after pitching. He is done in by the extra bounce. It takes the outside edge and goes into the mitts of the keeper. Can Pakistan get a couple more quickly? They do need it.

Abbas to H Amla, OUT! TIMBER! What a start for Pakistan and Abbas. Amla's poor run with the bat continues. It is a tad short on off, Amla shuffles across to his off pole, the ball hits one of the crack and jags back in a long way. Amla then tries to flick it with the movement but fails to put bat on ball. It uproots the leg stump. Amla has a puzzled look on his face. Maybe he never expected the ball to deviate so much. Huge wicket for the visitors. Also, it was the similar length to which Markram was dismissed. That is probably the length Pakistan should be bowling on consistent basis.

S Afridi to de Bruyn, OUT! Theunis de Bruyn departs. Afridi with the breakthrough. Wicket just before the Drinks break. It was angled across outside off, Theunis de Bruyn was happy leaving such deliveries all this while but this time he goes for the booming drive. It takes a thick outside edge and goes straight to the gully fielder. Babar Azam there takes a comfortable catch. South Africa still trail by 28 runs.

S Afridi to du Plessis, OUT! Finally a wicket for Pakistan. Faf du Plessis departs. What an innings from the captain. He was under pressure coming into this Test after getting ducks in both the innings of the first Test. Coming to the delivery, it is a length delivery on off, Faf du Plessis tries to defend it, but gets a faint edge on it and straight to the keeper. Sarfraz thinks about it and goes for the review. The replay shows there is some spike on the bat and Faf has to make the long walk back to the pavilion. He has grinded out as it was tough to play in the morning session. S Afridi to Bavuma, OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! Shaheen Afridi provides the breakthrough Pakistan so desperately wanted. Ends the 150-plus run stand, ends a magnificent knock by Bavuma on a very, very difficult wicket. He walks off to a standing ovation and he deserves every bit of it. Coming to the ball now, it is on a length and around off, it is angled into the batter first, Bavuma tries to play the original trajectory but it pitches and then moves away. Takes the outside edge and Sarfraz takes a good catch diving to his right. Can this now open the floodgates? Pakistan will hope so.

M Amir to de Kock, OUT! Edged and gone! Pakistan will enjoy this. Amir strikes in his very first over. Just behind a length, outside off, de Kock just loosely plays at this. Gets a thick edge and it flies to Asad Shafiq at second slip. He dives to his left and takes a good catch. The dangerous de Kock is dismissed, this is the best start possible for the visitors.

This partnership was motoring along and really threatening the Proteas, but Dale Steyn has brought it to an end. He dismisses Shan Masood, a player who has shown great class and temperament to stand tall against the home side so far. Amazing batting display. He couldn't do much about this one as he had no choice. Steyn pitched it on a length quite close to off, around the corridor, and made him play. Masood had a feel for it and edged it behind for de Kock to collect it. End of the 132-run stand. Masood walks back to a standing ovation from his teammates in the dressing room.

K Rabada to Ali, OUT! That is plumb in front. KG strikes on his first ball. Azhar Ali departs. Back of a length delivery jags back in sharply and keeps low as well. Ali is in his crease and trying to defend it but he has no clue whatsoever. The ball raps him on his front pad. Kagiso appeals and umpire has no hesitation in raising his finger. Big blow for the visitors. Pakistan are two down.

V Philander to Shafiq, OUT! Philander with the breakthrough. Huge wicket for South Africa. It was bowled on a length outside off, Shafiq feels for it, he gets an outside edge and an easy catch behind the stumps for de Kock. He will be very disappointed with that dismissal. There was no need to play at that. Nevertheless, a superb innings from Asad Shafiq comes to an end. He missed out on a well-deserved ton. He walks off to a standing ovation from the dressing room for his outstanding innings. Now, both the batsmen involved in the century stand are dismissed. Pakistan now trail by 60. Is an innings defeat still on the cards?

K Rabada to Azam, OUT! Rabada strikes. Babar Azam departs. It was on a length on off, Babar leans forward and tries to defend it, but gets a thick outside edge on it and the ball goes straight to the first slip fielder, Hashim Amla, who takes a simple catch. A brilliant innings of 72 comes to an end. South Africa require 1 more wicket to finish the Pakistan innings.

Rabada to Zaman, OUT! Rabada strikes! Are the floodgates about to open now? Is this it? South Africa celebrate. A back of a length delivery around off, going across, Zaman, quite unnecessarily, goes for the big heave across the line. The ball rises on him, he's hurried into the shot and it goes off the top edge. Skies towards the mid-wicket area and Rabada himself runs to take it. Gets under it, it comes over his shoulders and he gobbles it up well. Amazing catch. Pakistan trail by 53 runs.

It was bowled a touch short on off, the ball jags back in sharply and keeps a bit low. Sarfraz in his crease has no clue whatsoever. He is rapped on the front pad while trying to defend. A loud appeal goes up which is followed by the umpire's finger. The Pakistan captain immediately goes for the review. The replay shows it was just clipping the stumps and Sarfraz departs. Pakistan are 6 down. They still trail by 34 runs.

D Steyn to Amir, OUT! Steyn with another wicket. Amir was already troubled by the short stuff and this time he has fallen prey to it. Steyn bangs it short on middle, Amir tries to fend it but it hits his glove on the way and the ball goes straight to de Kock behind the stumps. Pakistan are 7 down. South Africa need three more wickets to win the Test match and the series.

D Steyn to Shah, OUT! Steyn with his fourth wicket of the game. Yasir Shah departs. It is banged in short on middle, Yasir pulls it, but gets a top edge and the ball flies towards deep fine leg. The substitute fielder Zubayr Hamza takes a brilliant catch just inside the ropes. The fielder was kept just for that shot. Faf du Plessi's plan worked perfectly. He placed the fielder almost right behind the keeper and the ball goes straight to the fielder and Yasir fell in his trap. Pakistan now trail by 7 runs and they need two more wickets to wrap up the innings.

K Rabada to Afridi, OUT! That's the final wicket down for the visitors. Back of a length ball in line of the stumps, Afridi backs away, swings hard across the line and the ball takes a big top edge. It skies towards mid-wicket where Philander comes running from mid on and takes it safely. Pakistan are bowled out for 294. A TARGET OF 41 is set for South Africa.
