The ball straightens off the deck to graze the outside edge and Rishabh Pant does the rest. England lose both openers in 4 balls. The hosts are 44/2 as Zak Crawley departs for 18 (43).

Nitish Kumar Reddy to Ben Duckett, OUT! STRANGLED DOWN LEG! An innocuous delivery but India won't mind! Nitish Kumar Reddy errs in both line and length. Tries to bang it in short but fails to get it high enough and the line is down leg. Ben Duckett swivels and stays inside the line to pull it fine. He is early into the shot and the ball arrives after he completes the swing. The ball brushes the gloves on the way through and the keeper, Rishabh Pant snaffles it by moving away to his right. Ravindra Jadeja to Ollie Pope, OUT! EDGED, AND GONE! CAUGHT BEHIND! First ball after the Tea break and Jadeja produces an important wicket for India! He starts from 'round the stumps and drifts the ball into the batter. Lands it full and on off, and gets a good bit of grip on the surface as it spins away from Pope. He presses forward to push it away to the off side, but he is a bit casual and tentative to do so and only manages to get an outside edge. Sharp work by Dhruv Jurel behind the sticks as he snaffles the catch. Ollie Pope departs for 44 (104) and England are 153/3.

Jasprit Bumrah to Joe Root, OUT! DRAGGED ON! Jasprit Bumrah gets the centurion. First Stokes, now Root and this is the 11th time in Test cricket that Bumrah has dismissed Root. The nip-backer does the trick again for Bumrah. From over the wicket, on a good length, just outside the off stump, Root is half-forward and looks to play it close to his body and right under his eyes. The movement off the deck results in the ball catching the inside edge and it deflects off the edge to crash into the stumps. Joe Root falls for 104 (199) and both overnight batters are out in no time. England are now 271/6.

Jasprit Bumrah to Harry Brook, OUT! CASTLED! BOWLED! Jasprit Bumrah finally gets a wicket to his name after putting in the hard yards with the ball! Landed on a good length by Bumrah, just outside off and it just jags back in off the pitch, cutting Brook in half. Harry Brook draws his front foot out to block, but gets beaten on the inside edge as the ball sneaks past the bat to smash into the off pole. Third inning in a row, Brook has fallen to the nip-backer. Harry departs for 11 (20) and England are 172/4.

Jasprit Bumrah to Ben Stokes, OUT! CLEANED HIM UP! An absolute beauty from Jasprit Bumrah! The off stump goes for a toss and it is followed by a cold stare from Bumrah towards the English skipper. This is the nip-backer from around the wicket by Bumrah, on a good length, around the off stump, Stokes brings his bat out in front to cover the line but does not account for the movement off the deck. The ball nips back in to go past the inside edge and uproots the off stump. After hearing the death rattle, Ben did seem to indicate that the ball kept low but the replays suggest that was not the case. Bumrah breaks this 88-run partnership as Ben Stokes departs for 44 (110) and England are 260/5.

Mohammed Siraj to Jamie Smith, OUT! EDGED, AND GONE! CAUGHT BEHIND! Mohammed Siraj breaks this frustrating stand for India and gets a big fish out, Jamie Smith! Siraj hits the deck hard, keeping the line of attack outside off. The ball lands and deviates away from the batter. Jamie Smith plays it from the crease but his feet do not move and he ends up playing away from the body. As a result, a faint outside edge is found and Dhruv Jurel does the rest behind the sticks. Being dropped on 5 by KL Rahul, this has been a brilliant inning from Smith under pressure, as he perishes for 51 (56). England are 355/8.

Jasprit Bumrah to Chris Woakes, OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! India get the review right and Jasprit Bumrah has two in two! In the channel on off, on a good length, Chris Woakes has a waft at the delivery. The ball zips past the bat and it keeps rising on its way to the keeper. Dhruv Jurel gathers it in front of his face, and neither Jurel nor Bumrah go up in an appeal. The men in the slip cordon and Ravindra Jadeja at backward point seem to have heard something, and Shubman Gill goes for the review. The UltraEdge returns a spike when the ball is next to the bat and the on-field decision is overturned. A golden duck for Woakes as England slip down from 260/4 to 271/7. Bumrah has his fourth wicket and is on a hat-trick now.

Mohammed Siraj to Brydon Carse, OUT! CLEANED HIM UP! And that's curtains on England's innings! Carse shows his cards very early as he shuffles way outside off. And spotting that, Siraj fires in a pinpoint yorker, right at the base of the middle stump. Carse tries to whip that away to the leg side, but does not lay any bat on it and hears the stumps shattering behind him. Siraj finishes with a couple of wickets as England are bundled up on 387.

Jasprit Bumrah to Jofra Archer, OUT! CASTLED! A 5-WICKET HAUL FOR JASPRIT BUMRAH AT LORD'S! This is his 13th five-fer and the most by any Indian bowler in away Tests, overtaking former Indian skipper Kapil Dev. Bumrah bowls his stock delivery as he aims the stumps, on a good length. It lands and jags in a touch and also stays down a fraction. Jofra Archer attempts to block off the back foot. But plays all over the wrong line, which creates the yawning gap between the bat and the pad. Enough for the Dukes ball to sneak through that and smash into the stumps behind. Archer goes for 4 (11) and England are 370/9.

Jofra Archer to Yashasvi Jaiswal, OUT! EDGED AND GONE! A dream start to the comeback for Jofra Archer as he draws the first blood pretty early! He bangs it hard on the surface, around middle with the ball deviating away off the deck. Jaiswal opens up and brings his bat in front to defend, but the ball nips away from the surface and takes the thick, healthy outside edge. Flies flat and straight towards the second slip as Harry Brook takes a regulation grab. The Lord's crowd is right behind Archer as he is delighted. India are 13/1 as Jaiswal goes for 13 (8).

Shoaib Bashir to KL Rahul, OUT! EDGED AND GONE! Hundred and out for KL Rahul! A soft dismissal and Shoaib Bashir has the big wicket. Slower through the air, on the fuller side, on off, Rahul gets on the front foot alright but pushes tamely at the ball. The ball drops in front of the bat and catches the outside edge. It goes low towards first slip where Harry Brook stays low and snaffles it with ease. Rahul falls for 100 (177). Wickets for England on either side of the Lunch break and this will uplift their spirits big time. India are now 254/5, trailing by 133 runs.

Ben Stokes to Karun Nair, OUT! EDGED AND GONE! Spectacular grab by Joe Root! On a back of a length, around the off stump, Nair hangs on the back foot and is opened up a bit due to the ball straightening off the deck. Gets an outside edge that goes low and dips on its way to Root at first slip. Root is standing a bit wide at first slip and there is a fair bit of gap between him and the keeper, Jamie Smith. Root gets low and sticks out his left hand and manages to scoop it. The third umpire is called into action and the replays show that Root has his fingers clearly under the ball. 211th catch of Root's Test career and he overtakes Rahul Dravid for most catches by a fielder in Tests. But another disappointing dismissal for Karun Nair as he yet again couldn't capitalise on the start he got. He departs on a well-made 40 (62) and India are 74/2.

Chris Woakes to Shubman Gill, OUT! EDGED, AND GONE! CAUGHT BEHIND! Chris Woakes' ploy to keep Jamie Smith up to the wickets has given him success. He holds the line around the off stump and gets the ball to curve away from the batter, on a fullish length. It keeps wobbling away with the angle and Gill pokes at it to block. Gets an outside edge as the ball straightens up the hill. Jamie Smith reacts quickly to it and takes a sharp catch. A wicket out of nowhere for England as the Indian skipper walks back to the pavilion on 16 (44). India are 107/3, trailing by 280 runs.

Shoaib Bashir to Rishabh Pant, OUT! RUN OUT! Ben Stokes, you beauty! The golden arm of Stokes delivers for England in the form of a direct hit for a change. A brutal blow for India right at the stroke of Lunch. From around the wicket, this is tossed up, on off, Rishabh leans forward and taps it with soft hands in front of cover. Pant hesitates at first before committing to the single. Stokes swoops in, picks the ball up and turns around. In one motion, he releases the throw and scores a direct hit at the bowling end. The third umpire is called into action. Rishabh stretches forward but the replays show that he is short of his crease. A dive would have probably saved Pant but he decided not to and ultimately paid the price. Stokes lets out a roar and he is pumped up. Rishabh Pant falls for 74 (112). At Lunch on Day 3, India are 248/4, trailing by 139 runs.

Chris Woakes to Ravindra Jadeja, OUT! STRANGLED DOWN LEG! The change of angle brings luck for Chris Woakes and England! Woakes has a sheepish smile on his face as this was not a wicket-taking delivery by any means. Full and down leg, Jadeja looks to tickle it fine and help himself to a boundary. Does not get the tickle wide enough of the keeper. Jamie Smith dives low to his right and completes a fine catch. Jadeja falls for 72 (131). India are now 376/7, trailing by 11 runs.

Ben Stokes to Nitish Kumar Reddy, OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! An absolute beauty from Stokes as he fishes out Reddy! And again, out of nowhere, the English captain provides the breakthrough for his side. Lands it on a hard length, on off and middle. It lands and curves away late, while also lifting off the deck. Does just enough to clip the gloves of Nitish, who hangs his bat a bit away from his body. Jamie Smith does the rest behind with a regulation catch. Nitish Kumar Reddy departs on 30 (91) and India are 326/6, trailing by 61 runs.

Jofra Archer to Washington Sundar, OUT! IN THE AIR AND GONE! The long stop is in on the action straight away, and that's that for India's innings. After the previous swing and a miss, Jofra Archer asked Ben Stokes to get the long stop in. This is banged into the surface from around the wicket, around off, Sundar stays back and heaves across the line. Gets a top edge that goes straight up and towards long stop. Harry Brook takes a couple of steps in and does the rest. Archer finishes with two wickets and India have been bowled out for 387!

Brydon Carse to Akash Deep, OUT! TAKEN! A stunning catch from Harry Brook! Made it look ever so easy there. Very full and a bit of an away shape on this one, Deep crouches a bit, gets his bat down and opens the bat face to glide it behind square on the off side. Fails to keep it along the ground and hits it uppishly to the right of second slip. Brook dives to that side and sticks his right hand to pluck it nonchalantly. Carse has his first wicket of the inning. India are 385/8 with a deficit of 2 runs.

Chris Woakes to Jasprit Bumrah, OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! A beauty from Chris Woakes! Too good for Jasprit Bumrah. With an upright seam, bowled from wide of the crease, on a fractionally fuller length, Bumrah has to play it due to the angle. Presents a straight bat for the block. Just enough away movement and bounce to catch the outside edge and the keeper, Jamie Smith takes a safe catch to his right. Third wicket for Woakes. India lose their 9th wicket with the scores level.

Nitish Kumar Reddy to Zak Crawley, OUT! EDGED AND GONE! Another start for Zak Crawley goes in vain and Nitish Kumar Reddy is all fired up as England lose another wicket! Reddy pitches the ball up, full and on the fifth stump line with some away shape. Zak Crawley taps his front foot out and goes for a cover drive, but plays at it with hard hands and a thick, healthy outside edge is found. The ball goes flat and towards the right of Yashasvi Jaiswal who takes a sharp catch at a widish of the two gullies. A big blow for the hosts as Zak Crawley departs for 22 (49) and England are 50/3.

Mohammed Siraj to Ben Duckett, OUT! TAKEN! Mohammed Siraj lets out a roar and is right in the face of Ben Duckett! Add to that, there is a bit of shoulder contact as well. Siraj stays around the wicket and goes into the wicket, outside off, Ben stays on the back foot and looks to unleash the pull. Ben is unable to free his arms in a fashion he would have liked to get the shot away. Ends up spooning it straight to mid on where Jasprit Bumrah takes a dolly. Duckett falls for a run-a-ball 12. England are 22/1.

Mohammed Siraj to Ollie Pope, OUT! LBW! A massive appeal but turned down! Looks high but Mohammed Siraj is convinced and Shubman Gill too feels that height could be an issue but takes Siraj's word and goes for the review. Jagging back in, on a good length, on middle, Ollie Pope is beaten on the flick on the inside edge due to the movement. The ball sneaks past the inside edge to clip the front pad before going behind towards the slip cordon. The UltraEdge shows no bat and it is three reds on Ball Tracking with the ball hitting the top of the leg stump. Siraj is delighted and England are now 42/2.

Washington Sundar to Joe Root, OUT! CASTLED! Washington Sundar breaks through for India! From over the wicket to the right-hander, on the line of the leg stump, on the fuller side, Root plants his front foot across for the sweep. Ends up getting a bit too far across and fails to connect. The ball sneaks under the bat and crashes into the leg stump. A wicket at a very crucial juncture for the tourists as the 67-run stand is broken. Root falls for 40 (96). England are 154/5. 

Akash Deep to Harry Brook, OUT! KNOCKED HIM OVER! One shot too many for Harry Brook and Akash Deep's joy knows no bounds! Akash fires it in, full and laser-straight in front of the stumps. Harry Brook tries to be adventurous and premeditates his shot. Sits on his knee to sweep it away, but gets a bit too across in this process and misses to lay his bat on the ball. Or rather, the ball is a bit too full to play that shot. It beats the bat and smashes into the stumps. Harry Brook departs for a brisk 23 (19) and England are 87/4.

Washington Sundar to Ben Stokes, OUT! CLEANED HIM UP! Ben Stokes tries to put Washington Sundar under pressure but perishes in the process. From around the wicket, nicely tossed up, on middle, Stokes gets down on a knee to unleash the slog sweep. The ball is not that full for the shot. It slides on with the arm to go under the bat and crashes into the stumps. Sundar has three to his name and has fished out three big names from this English batting unit - Root, Smith, and now Stokes. The English skipper departs on a gritty 33 (96) and the hosts are 181/7.

Washington Sundar to Jamie Smith, OUT! TIMBER! A ripper from Washington Sundar and this is a massive wicket for India! The in-form Jamie Smith departs cheaply. This is pushed through by Sundar, on a nagging length, on the off stump, Smith hops back in the crease and brings his bat out in front. Plays for the turn but the ball keeps straight and goes past the outside edge before clattering into the off pole. Sundar has uplifted the Indian spirits after going wicketless for the first hour or so post Lunch. Jamie Smith departs cheaply on 8 (14) and England have slipped from 154/4 to 164/6.

Jasprit Bumrah to Chris Woakes, OUT! DRAGGED ON! Jasprit Bumrah has his arms aloft in celebration. Chris Woakes looks back at the stumps in disbelief before starting the long walk back. Pace on with an upright seam, on a back of a length, on top of off, Woakes stays back and leg side of the ball to deal with it. The ball nips back in with the slope and catches the inside edge. The ball deflects off the edge to clip the top of the leg stump. England have now lost 5 wickets for 31.

Jasprit Bumrah to Brydon Carse, OUT! BOWLED! Jasprit Bumrah gets in on the act! Not sure Brydon Carse could have done much about that. Bumrah nails the yorker to perfection at the base of the stumps. Carse gets his bat down but the ball does not angle towards him as much as he anticipated it to. Brydon is beaten on the outside edge and the ball goes on to hit the leg pole. From 154/4, England are now 182/8.

Washington Sundar to Shoaib Bashir, OUT! CASTLED! Washington Sundar completes the clean-up job! Fourth wicket for Sundar and all of them have been bowled. This drifts away on the off stump, on a nagging length, Shoaib Bashir premeditates as he steps down the track. On seeing the length, he tries to adjust and brings his bat out in front. The ball does not turn and sneaks past the outside edge to hit the off pole. From being 154/4, England have been bowled out for 192. India will need 193 to take the lead in the series.

Jofra Archer to Yashasvi Jaiswal, OUT! IN THE AIR AND GONE! Jofra Archer gets Yashasvi Jaiswal for the second time in the game! Jaiswal would not want to look back at the replay at all. Banged in short from around the wicket, outside off, Jaiswal presses back and tries to drag the pull. The ball climbs onto him and catches the top edge. It goes straight up behind the wicket. The keeper, Jamie Smith, calls for it straight away and takes a step forward to complete a safe catch. England have the early wicket they were after as Jaiswal departs for a seven-ball duck. India are 5/1, needing 188 runs to win.

Ben Stokes to KL Rahul, OUT! LBW! What a smart review from the English skipper. Bashes the hard length, on a good length. It lands and jags in a long way into the batter. KL Rahul is caught in the crease as he looks to work it across but plays over the wrong line and misses. A huge appeal for LBW, but not given. Stokes is on his knees and is pleading to the umpire as he believes he has got his man and opts for the review. Now the question is whether the ball struck the bat first or the front pad, but it looks like KL Rahul's bat is a bit behind the pad. This is very close! UltraEdge shows that it is pad first and Ball Tracking shows the ball hitting the stumps. Three reds and Stokes is pumped up to the core as he gets a huge wicket. KL Rahul departs for 39 (58) and India in real trouble now - 81/6.

Brydon Carse to Karun Nair, OUT! LBW! What a breakthrough for England out of nowhere! This will definitely lift the spirits up in that English camp! Back of a length, angling into the batter on the off stump line. Karun Nair gets forward and opts to shoulder arms at it as he anticipates the ball to nip away off the pitch, but it cuts in the opposite direction very sharply and pings right on the front pad. An appeal goes around in unison from the English players and the umpire instantly raises his finger. Karun Nair starts walking before stopping for a brief chat with Rahul and eventually decides against the review. He departs on 14 (33) and India are 41/2, needing 152 more runs. Carse has his tail up.

Brydon Carse to Shubman Gill, OUT! LBW! Carse provides a huge wicket for England and he has spring in his step now! India lose another wicket with just 15 minutes or so remaining in the day's play. Back of a length, nipping into the batter sharply from around off, and skidding low. Shubman Gill is caught in the crease and is cramped up for space, tries to work it across to the leg side, but plays all over the wrong line and the ball beats the bat to ping on the front pad. Gill reluctantly takes the review. This, though, looks dead-straight to the naked eye. UltraEdge shows no bat and the Ball Tracking shows the ball hitting the middle stump. Around the stumps and on a good length, angling in from outside off. Rishabh Pant shapes to block from the crease but plays inside the line of the ball as the ball straightens and it beats the bat. Pant hears the ball smashing into the stumps as the off pole is uprooted and cartwheels behind. Jofra sends Rishabh back on his way with a few words. Pant goes for 9 (12) and India are 71/5, needing another 122 runs to win. What a spectacular sight for any fast bowler this! Archer has pumped up the adrenaline in the English camp now!

Archer bowls a fuller delivery, around off and deviating into the batter. Washington Sundar plays from the crease and looks to flick it across to the leg side, but ends up chipping it off the leading edge. The ball goes flat and low to the right of the bowler. Jofra Archer shows great game awareness as he throws himself towards the ball, sticking out his right hand and plucks the ball one-handed as he tumbles. India are 82/7 now, with England needing just 3 wickets to win.

Chris Woakes to Nitish Kumar Reddy, OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Chris Woakes strikes right on the stroke of Lunch! The script repeats itself for India, as they once again lose a wicket just before the break. Just outside the off stump, on a short of a length, Reddy hangs his bat out to defend. The ball nips away enough to graze the outside edge and the keeper, Jamie Smith does the rest. Woakes is off on a celebratory run and England are now just 2 wickets away. That will be LUNCH on Day 5!

Sam Cook, the substitute fielder, who is in for Bashir, locks his eyes on the ball and takes a good reverse cup catch over his head. Shoaib Bashir to Mohammed Siraj, OUT! BOWLED! UNBELIEVABLE SCENES AT LORD'S! What an unfortunate way to get out and Siraj just cannot believe his luck here! As said by Ravi Shastri on air, it will need a crane to get him out of there. He is on his haunches and in absolute disbelief. A few English players come towards him and offer commiserations. Coming to the delivery, Bashir loops the ball above the batter's eyeline and lands it outside off. It pitches and just spins back enough from the rough with some bounce. Mohammed Siraj hangs back and across to pat it down to the pitch, but the ball drops on the surface and spins behind, and trickles back to the stumps. It just kisses the leg stump and has enough sting to dislodge the bail. The English players engulf Bashir as he skates around the Lord's in jubilation.
