David Warnerc Quinton de Kock b Vernon Philander 1 4 0 0 25
0.6
V Philander to Warner, OUT! POOR SHOT! Sprays it wide outside off, Warner wants to reach out and drive it through but is in no position at all. He only manages to edge it through and de Kock goes to his left to take a safe catch. What a start for South Africa, a wicket right in the first over and that too a big one. It is how he plays but one wonders if you need to respect the conditions a bit more.
Joe Burnslbw b Kyle Abbott 1 8 0 0 12.5
1.6
Abbott to Burns, OUT! Abbott strikes! Hurls it outside off, comes in, Burns is rapped on his pads as he is late to bring his bat down. The players appeal for an lbw and the umpire raises his finger. There were a couple of noises but does Burns review? Nope. He walks and that is a wicket for Abbott as well in his first over. Replays show the two noises were off the ball hitting both the pads. Had Burns reviewed it would have stayed with the on-field call since the Ball Tracker shows it was clipping leg stump.
Usman Khawajac Hashim Amla b Vernon Philander 4 25 0 0 16
8.3
V Philander to U Khawaja, OUT! KHAWAJA FALLS! Hurls it on a good length on middle, Khawaja has to play at it but he only manages to edge it to Hashim Amla at first slip. The wickets continues to tumble for Australia here. Khawaja has to walk back disappointed and Philander continues to be amongst the wickets.
Steven Smith (C)not out 48 80 5 0 60
Adam Vogesc Quinton de Kock b Vernon Philander 0 1 0 0 0
8.4
Philander to Voges, OUT! VOGES GOES FOR A GOLDEN DUCK! Bowls it in the area outside off, Voges has to play at it. The ball was coming in with the angle but pitches and moves away ever so slightly. The ball flies through nicely to the keeper who takes the catch and celebrates. The third umpire checks for the no ball but Philander is okay there. South Africa are all over Australia here.
Callum Fergusonrun out (sub) 3 12 0 0 25
12.5
K Abbott to Ferguson, OUT! AUSTRALIA ARE ON THE MAT! Bowls it outside off, Ferguson defends it towards point. There is a slight misfield by Dane Vilas, the substitute as the ball goes in the deep. He himself goes towards third man fires in the throw and scores a direct hit at the striker's end as Ferguson dives to get into his crease. The fielders are confident it is referred upstairs. The replays confirm the same and Callum's worst fears come true as he is caught short of the crease. He has to go back and Australia are 5 down for 17!
Peter Nevill (W)lbw b Kagiso Rabada 3 25 0 0 12
20.1
K Rabada to Nevill, OUT! Good review from South Africa! Hurls it on a length outside off, comes in, Nevill looks to defend but is hit on his pads. The players go up for an lbw but the umpire stays put. The players come together and Faf wants the review. The replays show that there was no bat there. Ball Tracker shows that it was hitting the stumps and three reds means the decision has to be overturned and the review works along with the bowling change for South Africa. Australia are in tatters here!
Joe Mennieb Vernon Philander 10 22 2 0 45.45
28.3
Philander to Joe Mennie, OUT! BEAUTY! Hurls it on a length on off, this one comes in, Mennie plays for the outswinger keeping in mind the previous ball and that causes the gap between the bat and the pad. The ball sneaks through the gap and Mennis is bowled. End of an impressive little knock from Mennie. He is anyway the only other guy to be in double figures after Smith till now.
Mitchell Starcc JP Duminy b Kyle Abbott 4 6 1 0 66.67
29.4
K Abbott to Starc, OUT! JP, YOU BEAUTY! Abott bowls it outside off on a length, Starc goes for another expansive drive. This time though he only gets an edge that flies quickly towards gully. Duminy dives low to his right and plucks it inches off the ground. He takes off in celebration, Abbott turns around in disbelief, Starc has to go. South Africa continue to annihilate Australia here.
Josh Hazlewoodc Hashim Amla b Kyle Abbott 8 7 2 0 114.29
31.2
K Abbott to J Hazlewood, OUT! Catching practice to Amla! Bowls it on middle, Hazlewood stays in his crease and pokes at it. The ball goes off the edge and carries nicely to Hashim Amla who dives to his right at first slip and takes a good catch. The procession continues for Australia, the early singles are not working for Smith too. He needs to shield the tail and not expose them.
Nathan Lyonc Quinton de Kock b Vernon Philander 2 7 0 0 28.57
32.5
V Philander to N Lyon, OUT! de Kock's catch sums up Australia's innings! Fuller outside off, Lyon goes for the drive from his crease. He gets an outside edge that flies towards Hashim Amla at first slip. de Kock though flies to his right and takes a stunner in front of Amla who falls down having being blinded by the keeper. Had de Kock dropped it people would have asked him if he needed to go for it but that is what sums up Australia's innings today, nothing has gone their way. Absolutely nothing. Vernon Philander has taken five wickets here, his tenth five-wicket haul in Tests. AUSTRALIA HAVE BEEN SKITTLED OUT FOR 85!

M Starc to Cook, OUT! STARC IS ON THE CHARGE! Bowls it fuller outside off, Cook goes for the drive from his crease without any footwork. The ball takes the edge and flies through to the keeper for a good catch. Starc is pumped up and why not. Ideal start for Australia! South Africa still trail by 41!
Dean Elgarlbw b Mitchell Starc 17 61 0 0 27.87
18.1
M Starc to Elgar, OUT! STARC STRIKES! Bowls it full on middle and leg, Elgar looks to clip it but is hit on the back leg. The players go up in an appeal and the umpire raises his finger. That is an ideal start for Australia. Elgar ponders about the review but does not take it. The Ball Tracker shows it was hitting leg stump.
Hashim Amlac Peter Nevill b Josh Hazlewood 47 67 5 0 70.15
42.4
J Hazlewood to Amla, OUT! Hazlewood strikes again! Bowls it outside off, Amla has played these on-the-up shots all day without any footwork. This time he gets an outside edge and it flies through to the keeper for a good catch. That is a vital wicket for Australia, South Africa lead by 47 runs! The 56-run stand comes to an end.
JP Duminyc Steven Smith b Mitchell Starc 1 4 0 0 25
20.4
M Starc to Duminy, OUT! Edged and it's gone! Mitchell Starc is breathing fire here! Boy, someone tell me what he had during the tea break? He hurls it on a fuller length and straightens a shade after pitching. Duminy goes for the drive but gets a thick outside edge towards second slip where Smith takes a regulation catch. Australia have brought life back in the game.
Faf du Plessis (C)lbw b Josh Hazlewood 7 25 1 0 28
27.5
J Hazlewood to Plessis, OUT! The decisions stays as it is! Josh Hazlewood strikes! He deserved this wicket, didn't he? Hurls it on off, gets it to nip back in as du Plessis is late to bring his bat down. Is hit on the pads and Josh appeals for an LBW. Umpire Kettleborough raises his finger but Faf takes the review straightaway. Replays show it's pitched in line and was going on to hit the leg stump. Faf has to go and Australia are coming back in the game. South Africa still trail by 9 runs!
Temba Bavumac Nathan Lyon b Joe Mennie 74 204 8 0 36.27
93.3
Joe Mennie to Bavuma, OUT! Extra bounce gets the better of Bavuma and Joe Mennie has his maiden Test wicket! Bowls it on around off, Bavuma looks to work it through the leg side but the ball bounces a bit more and he is caught early into his shot. The ball lobs off the leading edge towards point where Lyon pouches it safely. The Australians are delighted for Mennie! Bavuma at the other hand is gutted on not carrying on after working so hard.
Quinton de Kock (W)b Josh Hazlewood 104 143 17 0 72.73
88.4
Hazlewood to de Kock, OUT! Bowled 'em! I think I have jinxed him. Josh Hazlewood finally gets a breakthrough as the 144-run stand has been broken. He hurls it on a length on off, gets it to nip back in sharply as de Kock tries to drive it away from the body and that does him in. The ball goes through his defense and shatters the off pole behind. Quinton is gutted at himself as he starts to make a long walk to the pavilion. End of a superb stand for South Africa!
Vernon Philanderc Peter Nevill b Josh Hazlewood 32 28 6 0 114.29
100.5
J Hazlewood to Philander, OUT! Hazlewood finishes with 6/89! Hurls it fuller outside off, pitches and moves away a touch, Philander goes for the drive but gets an outside edge that carries nicely to the keeper who takes the catch. Hazlewood would be happy with his effort. He leads his team off the field. SOUTH AFRICA ARE ALL OUT FOR 326, LEAD BY 241 RUNS!
Keshav Maharajb Josh Hazlewood 1 5 0 0 20
94.2
Hazlewood to K Maharaj, OUT! TIMBER! Bowls it outside off, comes in sharply, Maharaj plays all over it and is bowled as the ball hits the top of middle. Josh is all smiles and why not, South Africa are losing wickets in a flurry here.
Kyle Abbottlbw b Josh Hazlewood 3 9 0 0 33.33
96.2
J Hazlewood to Abbott, OUT! Five for Hazlewood as Abbott reviews in vain! Bowls it on off and middle, comes in a long way, Abbott comes forward and defends it with his bat and pad together. The players go up in an appeal and the umpire upholds it. Abbott looks to walk off at first but then reviews it. The replays confirm there was no bat there. Ball Tracker shows it was clipping the leg stump and hence the on-field call stays. Hazlewood has five, his fourth in Tests!

Joe Burnsc Quinton de Kock b Kyle Abbott 0 4 0 0 0
0.4
K Abbott to Burns, OUT! The decision is overturned! Burns departs for a duck! Abbott bowls it full but on middle and leg, Burns looks to clip it but does not connect properly. There is a noise as the ball goes past the bat. de Kock goes to his left, collects the ball and starts celebrating. He cannot believe it is not given out. Faf goes for the review straightaway. The replays show there was a tiny mark on HotSpot and the Snicko too confirms the edge and that is curtains for Joe Burns. He was walking away when Faf opted for the review. South Africa have begun superbly here.
David Warnerb Kyle Abbott 45 78 4 0 57.69
22.6
K Abbott to D Warner, OUT! That's really unlucky for David Warner! But South Africa wouldn't mind it at all. Abbott bangs in short on leg, Warner tries to defend but the ball hits the right thigh, pops up, then hits the right elbow and deflects on to the stumps. Warner is left stranded as he can't believe but to be frank he was nervy all throughout this innings. Australia lose both their openers and trail by 162 runs!
Usman Khawajac Quinton de Kock b Kyle Abbott 64 121 9 0 52.89
40.6
K Abbott to Khawaja, OUT! ABBOTT STRIKES! He was beating the bat so often and this time he gets the edge. The ball is a touch short and wide, Khawaja goes for the cut shot but only manages to edge it through to the keeper who pouches it safely. Abbott is delighted and why not. Khawaja has wasted another start here.
Steven Smith (C)c Quinton de Kock b Kagiso Rabada 31 82 5 0 37.8
55.4
K Rabada to Smith, OUT! Rabada has a 4-fer now as well! This is lovely bowling from Rabada. Hurls it on a length and moves a touch late and asks Smith to play at it. He falls in the trap only to nick one behind to de Kock who completes a regulation catch. An appeal is made but the umpire's finger has already raised his finger. Steven Smith was the only reputed batsmen fighting it out today for Australia and now even he is dismissed. South Africa just two away from winning the series.
Adam Vogesc JP Duminy b Kyle Abbott 2 17 0 0 11.76
46.1
K Abbott to Voges, OUT! Indecision gets the better of Adam Voges! Shorter outside off, Voges is taken aback by the length. He looks to pull at first but then pulls out of the shot. He looks to leave it but is late and the ball goes off the face of the bat towards Duminy who takes a really good low catch at gully. That was an absurd dismissal for Voges. He got everything full and this was probably the only short one bowled to him.
Callum Fergusonc Dean Elgar b Kagiso Rabada 1 11 0 0 9.09
49.1
K Rabada to C Ferguson, OUT! RABADA STRIKES! Bowls it outside off on a good length, comes in a touch with the angle, keeps a tad low. Ferguson looks to get out of the way with a duck but it was not that short. The ball goes off the gloves to Dean Elgar at third slip who takes the catch and is pumped up. That was a poor piece of judgement from Ferguson, his brother at the stadium will not be happy again. Australia still trail by 101.
Peter Nevill (W)c JP Duminy b Kagiso Rabada 6 16 0 0 37.5
53.4
K Rabada to P Nevill, OUT! Short ball ploy works for Rabada! Australia slip further here! Kagiso hits the deck hard and serves it outside off, Nevill hops and tries to fend it away but the bounce gets the better of him. It goes off the glove and towards gully where Duminy takes an easy reverse cup catch over his head. Australia still need to score 91 to make SA bat again.
Joe Mennielbw b Kagiso Rabada 0 2 0 0 0
53.6
K Rabada to Mennie, OUT! The decision stays as it is! Double strike for Rabada! Bowls an in-dipping full toss on the stumps. Mennie tries to flick it across the line but misses and the ball hits him flush on the pads. Rabada turns back to appeal and umpire Kettleborough raises his dreaded finger. Mennie looks to walk off but then returns to confer with his skipper and takes the review. Replays show it to be pitched in line and would have gone on to clip the leg stump. So, the umpire's call stays and Mennie walks back without troubling the scorers much.
Mitchell Starcc Quinton de Kock b Kyle Abbott 0 13 0 0 0
58.3
K Abbott to Starc, OUT! Kyle Abbott bags his 3rd Test five-fer! Warner on air says, he wins the race against Rabada. Abbott serves a full length delivery on off, Starc stays put in the crease and tries to go for the drive with no footwork at all. Gets a thick nick that flies to de Kock who does the rest. He throws the ball upwards and Kyle has his arms aloft. What a performance from him, comes into the side replacing an injured Steyn and doesn't make his absence felt. End is NIGH for Australia!

K Abbott to Lyon, OUT! It's all over for Australia! The South African team is in a huddle, they are cherishing the moment. Faf du Plessis is the happiest man on this planet. What a performance from his team to defeat Australia in their own den. Coming to the ball, it was a full ball on the stumps, Lyon backs away and chips it straight to Philander at mid on who takes a comfortable catch. Kyle Abbott is down on his knees and his teammates barge towards him. SOUTH AFRICA WIN BY AN INNINGS AND 80 RUNS AND SEAL THE SERIES WITH A GAME TO GO!
