Philander to C Pujara, OUT! TIMBER! WHAT A START! What a start to the second session by Vernon Philander and the off stump has gone for a spin! Philander pitches this one on the middle and off pole line. It nips away after pitching, beating the outside edge of Pujara's bat and hits the top of off pole as the stump goes cartwheeling. Muthusamy to Kohli, OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! What happened on that ball? It just hit the deck and paused for a lifetime! Muthusamy gets his first Test scalp and it is the big man, Indian skipper Virat Kohli! Kohli is in disbelief as he sees Muthusamy take the easiest of catches that he will get in his life. Muthusamy bowls this one short and on middle and off, Kohli looks to tuck this one towards the leg side but is early into the shot due to the ball sticking onto the surface. It takes the leading edge of Kohli's bat and goes straight back towards Muthusamy who takes a dolly. He gets the wicket of the Indian skipper and the budding partnership has been broken.

K Maharaj to Rahane, OUT! CAUGHT! Rahane departs now! Brilliant captaincy by Faf du Plessis but Rahane shouldn't be falling for that after being such an experienced batsman. The South African skipper put a silly point to make the batsman think. Maharaj floats this one outside off, inviting the batsman to come down the track and Rahane obliges. He comes down the track and tries to loft this one over the man at cover but he fails to do so and hands a simple catch to Temba Bavuma. Another 50-run stand is broken. Rahane's ordinary form at home continues.

K Maharaj to Vihari, OUT! CAUGHT! Dean Elgar takes the catch at long off and Vihari has to walk back to the pavilion. This one is floated on the off pole line, it pitches and spins away. Vihari looks to go for an inside-out shot over cover but slices it high in the air past mid off. Elgar jogs some steps back and takes an easy catch. Vihari has to walk back after his very short stay at the crease.

D Piedt to Saha, OUT! CAUGHT! Saha misses out on this one! It is a rank long hop from Piedt, Saha rocks back and pulls it. He does not time it well. The ball goes straight to Muthusamy at deep mid-wicket. Saha usually does not play this kind of shot but the situation demanded it for him to do so.

R Jadeja to Elgar, OUT! CAUGHT! Finally India get the breakthrough! Brilliant catch by Pujara and the partnership of 164 runs has been broken by Jadeja as he gets his 200th TEST WICKET! This was a floated ball outside off in the rough, Elgar goes for the slog sweep over the mid-wicket fence. He gets just a top edge on it and the ball skies high up in the air. Pujara from mid-wicket runs in hard and dives forward to complete a brilliant catch. Dean Elgar is dismissed after a fantastic knock and India will now look to open up the lower batting order of the visitors. Jadeja is also the second fastest Indian to reach the 200-wicket landmark. Ashwin to A Markram, OUT! BOWLED! Excellent bowling from Ashwin! Markram's struggle in the subcontinent continues! Flighted ball on off, spinning into the batsman, Markram looks to defend but it goes between the bat and pad and disturbs the stumps. The replay shows that it brushed his front pad on its way. This is the 27th time in 66 Tests that Ashwin has taken a 5-fer. Beautifully looped outside off, fuller in length, Philander is enticed and goes for the drive. But the ball spins a long way, takes the inside edge and hits the top of middle and leg sticks. India closing in on batting again but they might want South Africa to bat at least another 2 overs tonight. Else, the hosts might have to bat for a couple of overs.

R Ashwin to Maharaj, OUT! CAUGHT! Excellent captaincy from Kohli! He put the fielder there right for that shot. R Ashwin to Rabada, OUT! LBW! Good review from India! Saha was against taking the review but Ashwin convinces the skipper to take it and it turns out to be a good one! It is such a good innings that even the South Africa players run up to him and congratulate him as he walks back. The Indian pavilion and the crowd are on its feet to give him a standing ovation. He perishes in the attempt to hit a 14th biggie. Comes down the track and swings against the turn. He misses it and de Kock behind makes no mistake. India are effectively 310 for 3.

V Philander to Pujara, OUT! Waste of a review from Pujara! That looked plumb on naked eye. Pujara has to go! Good length ball on middle, Pujara looks to defend but gets hit flush on the back pad. Vernon Philander does not even wait for the decision and the umpire agrees as he gives it out. Pujara consults with his partner and decides to go for the review. The ball cracks open the woodwork. The dejected southpaw trots back and Kohli pats him on the shoulder for a quickfire 40. First wicket for Rabada in this Test match.

Jadeja to Markram, OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! Max-reflex by Jadeja and he pulls out a blinder! Jadeja floats a fuller one on the off pole line, Markram hits it back powerfully but uppishly towards the left of Jadeja. Jadeja sticks out his left hand and the ball just sticks there. R Jadeja to Elgar, OUT! It is pitching in line and Ball Tracker then shows THREE REDS! Elgar, the hero of the first innings for South Africa, is out of here. This is a huge wicket as we all know how stubborn Elgar can be and in the situation South Africa are in, they needed a stubborn player. Jadeja draws first blood. Jadeja from around the wicket lands it around leg, the ball straightens and stays low. Elgar fails to put bat and ball and it hits the pad. An appeal but the umpire shakes his head. Jadeja feels he has got Elgar but a few other Indian players have a doubt. After a discussion, Kohli signals the 'T'. Replays roll in and it shows the on-field call has to be overturned. Ashwin to de Bruyn, OUT! Bowled! Excellent delivery from Ashwin! De Bruyn is the man that departs! Flat delivery outside the off stump, it keeps a little low, Theunis tries to cut it off the back foot but ends up chopping it onto the stumps. A good length ball by Shami which keeps low again and it nips back in. Bavuma expects it to bounce but he misreads it as he attempts to defend it off the back foot. The ball sneaks below Bavuma's bat and goes onto hit the stumps. Excellent start for India on Day 5. Seven more wickets to go. Will this match finish in the first session itself?

M Shami to Plessis, OUT! BOWLED! Faf has to make the long walk back to the pavilion! Excellent bowling this from Shami! Good length ball outside off which swung in a mile, du Plessis misreads the movement on this one and looks to leave it. The ball goes through and hits the top of off stump. Faf looks surprised and stares at the pitch for a long time before he starts walking back to the pavilion. Shami has a tendency to bowl well in the second innings and it does not look any different here. India 6 wickets away from the win.

M Shami to de Kock, OUT! BOWLED! Quinton de Kock is the latest casualty! He scored a century in the first innings but gets out for a second ball duck in the second! Another brilliant delivery from Shami! Good length delivery on the off pole line which straightens after pitching, Quinton looks to defend but it goes between his bat and pad, cutting him in half as it hits the off stump. South Africa have lost half the side now and India are ripping through them.

R Jadeja to Philander, OUT! LBW! Jadeja on full throttle! That looked plumb to the naked eye and the replays have confirmed it. Jadeja pitches this one around leg and gets it to turn away from the batter. Philander looks to play at it but misses and is hit on the back pad. India appeal in unison but the umpire is unmoved. Jadeja tells his captain to straightaway go for the review and Kohli obliges. Replays roll in, nothing on Ultra Edge. Ball Tracker comes into play, pitching in line and THREE REDS. Philander walks back now as India need just 3 more wickets to win.

Jadeja to Maharaj, OUT! LBW! Jadeja has opened up the South African batting lineup in this over. India 2 wickets away from winning the first Test match! Similar delivery by Jadeja, pitches this one around leg, he gets it to curl away from the batter. Maharaj looks to defend but is beaten all ends up. It hits him on the back thigh pad and the Indian players appeal again. This time the umpire agrees with them and raises his finger. This time Maharaj straightaway goes for the review. It has shattered the stump in half. An excellent innings comes to an end from Piedt. The stand between Piedt and Muthusamy consumed 194 balls but it has finally come to an end. Dane has made a strong statement here to bat up the order probably above Philander. Shami's love affair with the second innings continues.

M Shami to Rabada, OUT! CAUGHT! Fifth Five-fer for Shami! He has been excellent in this innings, was right on the mark since the start. Shami deserves this one every bit. Good length ball outside off, Rabada attempts to drive but gets an outside edge towards Saha who makes no mistake. With this INDIA WIN BY 203 RUNS AND GO 1-0 UP IN THE THREE TEST MATCH SERIES.
